I can't believe Bungie had the nerve to hype this DLC up this hard. Sure it had a lot of content but BY FAR this is the MOST INSULTING piece of content I have ever experienced. HOW DID THIS PASS QA? WHO WROTE THIS STORYLINE? A MONKEY?

It really seems like they spent all their resources on pleasing the LGBTQ crowd and predatory monetization that they forgot to leave any budget/time to actually take the end-of-the-world story seriously and write cohesively.

The physics model has no right to be this good.
Somehow Caged Element has created a sim racer for a time period of racing that doesn't exist??

This game makes Redout and it's inspiration the Wipeout series feel cartoony and childish in comparison to these heavy armor-laden jet cars. The fact you actually need to brake and apex like a modern racing-sim brings me immense satisfaction nailing hairpins and then boosting cleanly away. The rubberbanding is implemented immersively through boost power/regeneration and item pickups but isn't overpowered enough that you'll just randomly lose for being good. You are given ways to defend yourself and minimize attacks out in 1st place.

Combine the visuals and thematic elements of Wipeout with a much improved take on F-zero GX/AX's handling model and you get this. If you've spent time on either game, this is the game for you.
