I haven't finished the game yet but so far it's been a really nice and wholesome experience.

As of the time of writing this, I've only played the game for 3 hours and I certainly don't know all the ins and outs of this game. That is, I don't know what the "strategy" is.

I will recommend this game, but it's more of a mixed recommendation. I think you should try it out, I mean, it's a free game, so why not, but it has some game design flaws.

As some other people have mentioned already, reinforcements and the white ship army (I forgot what it was called) kinda ruin the game. I was about to lose, but then I got reinforcements, and won. That must've sucked for the other player.

The worst part is it feels like whoever gets screwed over by the "balancing system" is decided by a coinflip. I'm sure it isn't, but you really can't tell ahead of time. At least I haven't figured out how it's calculated. It makes the game feel really random, and you really can't tell what's gonna happen. And in a strategy game I wouldn't say that's a good thing. It makes it very frustrating.

Probably the worst part about this system is that games tend to go on forever. If there are two players remaining, and one of them is in the lead by a small margin, he'll slowly push through until the other person gets reinforcements. Then he's forced to step back. Then over time, he starts pushing again, until reinforcements come. It's a near-endless cycle that can sometimes take up to an hour. And the leading player usually always wins anyways. It's not fun for the losing player and it's not fun for the winning player.

I'm sure there are strategic ways around these "issues", but at least for a beginner the game feels very frustrating at times. Even still, however, it's addicting and I find myself coming back to it time and time again. Little ships floating around and numbers going up and down is a very satisfying sight. You should try it out and see what you think of it yourself.

Early Access Review
CHANGE is an excellent game.

I will be upfront and say that there are quite a few issues right now. The gameplay isn't perfect. I've beaten the game 5 times and the end game is very lackluster. A lot of things in this game are luck-based, which I don't really like, but it's not too bad. You can definitely beat the game every time if you know what you're doing.

I'd recommend this game to perfectionists, there are quite a few secrets and perks you won't catch on your first playthrough and there is some replayability if you find perfecting your strategy engaging. Every time you start a new playthrough there's an added level of difficulty. It's not really new content, but I find the gameplay quite fun and enjoy trying to do better each playthrough. There are some issues, though, and sometimes bad luck can screw you over which is super frustrating.

All the dialogue gets old after the first playthrough so I don't even bother reading them. Some "night events" offer a choice between "yes" and "no" but unfortunately from what I can tell it doesn't always matter what you pick, there are a few that always deduct happiness no matter which one you pick. It would be more exciting if you had a 50/50 chance of losing or gaining happiness. Otherwise what's even the point of choosing.

I think it's amazing how in-touch the developers are with the playerbase, though. They read every suggestion and I'm really happy about that. :) I'm sure things will get better from here and I'll be sure to update my review after some updates.

All and all I can recommend this game. It's cheap and I had a good time. It's a STRATEGY game, so if you think you'd be into that, give it a shot especially when it goes on sale.

I don't have much time to tell about this game, but shortly, this will be an AMAZING EXPRIENCE. You will be too addicted for days that you can't do anything else. And even after that, it will be interesting enough to play. If you have some extra money, and even, if you don't, this will be a great choice! What's better than live in a prison, listen stupid cops and after all fu-ck them all and escape! Try it yourself!
