A bit like a fanfiction author: spastic, unstable, and constantly trying to seem more mysterious than it actually is. It tries to have a story with deep lore but then just throws a bunch of generic aliens and bandits at you. The bugs aren't as annoying as the constant frame drops the moment anything hostile glances in your direction. The music is undeniably funky, but it cuts out abruptly the moment every enemy is dead, so best to just buy the soundtrack separately if anything.

People aren't kidding when they affectionately call this game Devil May Quake. Except it has better secrets than both games ever had

absolutely bananas combination of Fallout RPGs, The Sims, and Age of Empires.

A classic but ♥♥♥♥ me I forgot how damage-spongey every single enemy is. Abuse alchemy poisons and spells as early as possible or you will get dunked.
