Nerf to the flamethrowers out of left field just to make it "realistic", when it's napalm, it shouldn't bounce off anything. and increasing spread to the slugger...when it's a SLUG ROUND SHOTGUN! c'mon! I ain't the brightest person in the room, but even I know these changes make no sense! charger\heavy spam on higher difficulties is crazy and stratagems can only kill so many before you're left with no reliable way to kill them while getting sliced apart by the smaller but faster and numerous enemies.

Buff your other weapons to fit certain niches better instead of slamming the nerf hammer on weapons that weren't even OP to begin with, just did 1 thing better than other options.

I can become a Space Ranger. 10/10 would infinity and beyond again!

New Classes all work. no one class is better than the other!

Issues currently is FPS drops and Server can become unstable (hasn't gotten that bad for me lately, tho).

If you go in, take in mind this is Early Access and Updates aren't the fastests, but devs are listening and actively working on the game.

Game isn't perfect, but the longer one plays and unlock more skills and power for Sonic, the better it starts to get! Bosses are a blast, story is pretty nice change of pace from the goofy sat am cartoon plots most Sonic games had before this. I'd say give it a try. Don't expect game of the year, expect a fun game with a sick ost and some amazing boss fights and a simple, yet, fun combat system!

Awesome gameplay! But one issue is how easily you die without the shields, that, and I should have the option to mark out game modes I don't want like CTF or ODDBALL. Other than those issues, I think the game is mostly in a good state!

Edit: Progression for the battle pass is a little annoying and a good chunk of cosmetics are locked behind paywalls. Hopefully the Campaign allows you to unlock armors to make up for this.

This game is pretty decently packed with content on both the Story and Arena mode. My biggest gripe with this game is how almost all the guns have almost no ammo, which is especially bad in some Arena or Story missions on the madness dificulty where you'll constantly be under fire so melee isn't that good of an option.

Arena for the most part is pretty nice but the grind for some of the upgrades gets nearly as bad as an MMO like D2. 1M dollars for a minigun seems like it makes sense except that ammo economy is quite an issue for most of the early playthroughs which can kinda suck the fun out of the game.

Also good luck playing the game with the Madness dificulty in later levels solo as scaling is bonkers. That may be just me though.

Some missions in Arena become unfun as I mentioned before (Nexus level specifically so far) there's a huge amount of enemies that have guns and don't go down in 1 go. because of that, there's a big chance almost all your hirelings will just die on the first area of the level and instead you'll resort to cheesing the mission or dying as the cover sometimes doesn't even actually cover all that well.

Ammo economy and grindy as heck Arena aside, this game is pretty nice, especially if you got friends to play story with on either Remote Play or Parsec (Arena does allow for CO-OP but only if the host has hirelings with them). i'd Rate the game around a 7 or 8 out of 10. If the enemy spam (tanky gun enemies particularly) on certain Arena levels and even some story levels can be toned down a little, I'll likely bump it to a 10 instead, but the game is still worth a try however!

Positives:
-Graphics (though it's not mind blowing either)
-mods(?).
-Potencial.

Negatives:
-There's no NOCLIP.
-Can't invite friends like you would on Gmod (Apperently it will be added later).
-Maps have no interactivity at all, pressing E doesn't do anything. the recent minecraft map added on the game's workshop is an example for this. where it does have triggers that open the door but can't open it once i enter and the door closes.
-Physics aren't even that great, at points it's worse than Gmod. the objects breaking at times look good though only objects, not all.

There is potencial but in the state it was released and still missing features that was even in the original release of Gmod, i'd this is a big skip. when the game adds all the features and enough mod support, I will update this review.

A fantastic game. If you like the old 2d sonic games, you will love this game. And if you dont like the old sonic games, still give this game a try. Only nitpick i have is that the story mode is a bit weak, but that's about it. Looking forward to the sequel in 2018! ^_^
