Ever played Battlefield? Yes? Good. No? You're missing out.

Anyway, imagine the gameplay of Battlefield. Then crank the realism and physics to such an absurd degree it causes an earthquake.

That's only the tip of the iceberg. Have fun!

A love letter to Junji Ito and H.P. Lovecraft doesn't do the title justice. This game is far more addictive despite how unlucky and frustrating it can be at times to proceed. Very, very management focused too with everything having an impact on how you play and proceed.

An absolutely solid game from start to finish that reminds me very heavily of the infamous Playstation One game; Tomba! With a beautiful cast of characters reminiscent of, what I would say, Spyro the Dragon coupled in with the light fetish that is heavily drawn from Kirby, this is a game definitely worth picking up.

To explain a little more in detail.
Art style: 8/10

Stunning artwork with a mixed and very colourful world to explore, with nothing standing out as being too harmful on the eyes and nothing too dull and/or dark to make it hard to see.

Story: 7.5/10
The story in of itself is fairly straightforward, and isn't too lackluster about what is going on and what you're supposed to do with a sizeable cast of characters for side-quests and things to do additionally.

Music: 9/10
In my opinion, the music of the game is superb. Fancy and captivating pieces that enhance the areas you enter, including the boss fights and the short encounter scenes.

Mechanics: 9/10
Very easy to get used to and simple to understand, they work as intended with little to no problems. The only occasional issue I've noticed is the double-jump occasionally not responding, but that could come down to my keyboard as it's a bit old.

Personal thoughts:

The two major concerns I had with the game is, firstly, once you've beaten the true final boss, there's almost nothing more to do. Having done all the exploration and seen the world leaves the post-game with nothing, and that can really destroy the motivation for repeated playthroughs. The second problem is that a few areas can seem a tad unfair with the platforming and the enemy placements, especially in later areas where there are death pits and being hit in the air sends you flying backwards almost to die.

Suggestions if the developer team read this, or any Patron does:
- New Game plus. Give us the chance to explore the island again, with the game now being much tougher.
- Post-game content. A superboss/rematch against the bosses but considerably tougher would be truly enjoyable.
- New location. The demon Hostess mentions a place that could be worth visiting.

That's pretty much it.

Considering I saw this game randomly on Youtube, I was expecting someone unusual, wacky and a bit chaotic.

A. I wasn't disappointed.
B. It needs to be bigger.
C. Telling an old lady to "P*** off, old bag." will never not be funny.
