Happy 20th birthday Half-Life 2... We're getting old my friend. I will always cherish the Source engine and all the great memories I've had on it!

PROS:
- You can now use Weave illusions in the normal game! (5 years late)
- Cataclysm Difficulty
- The 5 new weapons

CONS:
- You have to play Weaves to unlock Weave illusions.
- Putting Cataclysm behind a paywall is dumb.
- Buying this DLC permanently adds Beastmen to the enemy pool for (almost) all missions.

CLOSING THOUGHTS:
- There really should be an option to enable/disable Beastmen outside of Weaves.
- Cataclysm should be part of the base game.
- Weaves should have been aborted.

I had to suffer an hour of this slop to get my free TF2 hat.

Stop updating the game.

40k Boomer Shooter with a banger OST!

I miss CS:GO

Graphics are subjective but I enjoyed the visual style of Hrot very much. Music is good enough that I enjoyed it during the levels but wouldn't just listen to it on it's own. Level design is mostly good but some of the puzzles are impossible to figure out without a guide. The running and gunning is easily the best part of Hrot, the movement feels very similar to quake and the guns are super fun to use. Unfortunately some of the enemies in this game are pure bullet sponges and the combat gets bogged down when you need to land 3-4 direct hit grenades to kill 1 dude. (Wheelchair/Snake enemies on NORMAL) The game teeters between serious and goofy which didn't bother me but I feel compelled to warn you: don't expect a coherent tone or story. My first play-through of the game took me about 7 hours, I probably spent about an hour of that stuck on obscure puzzles. I'd estimate 6-10 hours to beat the game maybe 20-30 hours if you want to hunt down all the secrets and such. Overall I'm happy I picked this game up and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes "boomer shooters".

It was very awkward to play at first, the UI and controls aren't very intuitive. But man once it clicked for me I dumped over 400 hours into it in less than 2 months. Even in its Early Access form this game has a lot to offer for 20$. Strongly recommend to anyone who likes the sound of this: Isometric Zombie Apocalypse Survival Simulation

I really enjoy the core gameplay but overall the game feels like it's in early access. Poor optimization and loads of crashing are easily the biggest offenders. It doesn't have a finished crafting system over 2 weeks past release. Base game only has 4 playable classes, a whopping 11 classes less than their previous game Vermintide 2. I also find Darktide's class abilities to be very underwhelming compared to Vermintide 2. Unless you're a hardcore tide fan wait a couple years for much needed polish.

This game is just plain simple fun. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or a casual dad this game is easily worth several hours of entertainment. Also includes daily/weekly challenges so there's still something to do once you've "beaten" the base game! The only complaint I can even think of is that the soundtrack is a little dull. Overall I'd rate this game a 9/10.
