This game scratches a nostalgic itch for me with the Tamagotchi/GBC vibes. There's a lot of good jokes/puns spread throughout the campaign as well.
I've been playing since the day it released and the developers are very open to feedback and suggestions. It's great seeing a game grow alongside your hero.

Easily one of my favorite games. It starts of pretty hard, and gets easier as you learn enemies' patterns and unlock new items/weapons.

It's definitely one of those gems I found on accident.
