Cut something I shouldn't have, reactor detonated and obliterated half the ship. I was vaporized, ended up lengthening my indentured servitude to the corp for the cost of another clone.

This is a truly beautiful game featuring all the trimmings expected in a AAA title and more. The single player story can stand unashamedly amongst narratives found in any medium. The game world Rockstar has created here feels alive to an extent only Witcher III can match; Its seemingly endless random encounters and AI interactions constantly try to pull you into the premise that you are the last of a dying breed in a rapidly modernizing old West.

The sound, music, voice acting, and visuals are all top notch. Despite its console origins I found that I would occasionally pause simply to enjoy a gorgeous vista, rain shower, a fox hunting a rabbit, a ridiculous AI conversation, so on and so forth. The interface is slightly clunky (an obvious concession to its aforementioned console heritage) but not distractingly so. The games pacing matches its narrative wonderfully, near the end you will be exhaustedly clawing your way towards its final conclusion. Deeply emotional, the powerful story will pull you through sedate sections of gameplay, while providing explosive outbursts of violence that will sate your inevitable bloodlust. The story runs quite long with loads of side quests and achievements so even the most tight pursed gamer should get more than their moneys worth here, even at full price. The setting is cool, the story magnificent, the production values excellent, and the multiplayer decent enough (although lacking the mountain of content found in rockstars other multiplayer game, GTA:Online).

As a complete package RDR2 TOWERS above all of its peers except perhaps Witcher III and in my opinion can rightfully claim at least equal billing with Witcher III as the best game ever made to date (9/30/2020). This is Rockstar games' magnum opus and is a true achievement that the huge development team behind this game can proudly hang their hat on.

Great survival game with a good narrative. Excellent sound and unique graphical style contribute to an immersive atmosphere seldom seen in the survival genre.

The devs obviously intended for this game to give fallout 2 vibes and it succeeds. The game does suffer from a clunky interface and an abominable camera but overall it succeeds in delivering a difficult but interesting post apocalyptic narrative.

Frustrating game with no payoff. Loved to take you one or two hours into a mission and then end it all because of one error. I revels in wasting your time. Don't buy unless time has no value in your life and you enjoy getting ♥♥♥♥ on repeatedly.
