Even though the game itself is okey, the price of the dlc is not.
This should have been around same price as the leviathan dlc. Doesn't add much for the price they ask.
Would suggest waiting for a sale.

Also as a sidenote. It was funny to see how this dlc got over 72 positive reviews within first hour of the release. So be wary of general positive reviews.

Interesting idea which falls flat after hour or two. Barely any good improvements from the previous version of the game.
Game still gets very repetitive and grindy for no other reason than to prolong the game. If you don't you will be heavily punished for not recruiting back and forth for countless of days without doing anything else between the time. You can only recruit 1-2 units per day from one camp. At best of cases there can be only two on each side. Impossible to reach without special building, and you will need to grind before you can do that.

Wouldn't recommend this game unless it is selling for 1 dollar. Even then it might not be worth the grind. Not like there is any story reward for enduring all the grind.

Game is currently plagued by horrible AI and Diplomacy. Those two things make the game very bland after first play through to put it simply. There is no diplomacy victory condition in the game yet, guess for a good reason.
However it does feel like that feature was cut out from the game to sell it later in some expansion dlc. For example city states have relationship statuses already. They are rather pointless though as they do practically nothing ingame currently.

There are many other smaller issues that the game has, but these two issues already make the game more bland than civ 5 was at launch. Yet here they don't have the same excuses because civ 6 uses many resources from civ 5. Transition isn't anywhere near as big as it was from civ 4 to civ 5.

There probably won't be any fixes until new expansions. They haven't even touched em so far in this game's life cycle. Only more dlc to sell out in form of new civilizations.
Therefore I recommend to stay away from buying this game. Maybe proper time to do so is when the eventual goty/complete edition comes out in far away future. It is rather sad as some new features in this game could be great and show some promise if expanded. Maybe the modders can fix many of the smaller problems, might be a while as they were just released though.

Do not buy this game for multiplayer! The game has constant crashes out of nowhere that prevent you from playing or finishing levels. There is no patches coming for this game anymore, so I would recommend staying away if you are looking for coop action.
However the bugs are mostly on coop, single player doesn't suffer from such crashes. Although it is very run of the mill experience. Nothing special in this title compared to past dynasty warriors or samurai games.

Rare coop experience in this day. Although the mechanic of coop conversations are rather shallow, it is a welcome change. Hopefully sequel does it even better.

Early Access Review
The game is still on alpha phase so I cannot recommend this game to anyone yet at full price. The game has good base work done and is starting to see some nice flavor, but is still long way from long time enjoyment. After a certain point there isn't much to do or reason to continue. Things become very samey and there is no new great challenge to overcome. Only more of the same tediousness.
If you like Dwarf Fortress, you will feel right at home with this one. However don't expect same depth from this game yet.

I'm very optimistic for the future. Hopefully it will reach it's full potential when at the point of full release. However seems like the game is coming out of alpha and therefore potential might be lower.
But for now hold on unless you can get it for very cheap somehow.

Pointless game at this point. Waste of money. Only Remastered is worth something now.

Horribly overpriced for what it includes. Most of the dlc is mostly junk. Only decent one is Far harbor. Even that one is outshined by any dlc on previous fallout games. Effort certainly wasn't put into these.

Even though I don't recommend this game at full price, I think there is some great points to this game and I enjoyed the game to some degree. Although I am a sucker for strategy and war games where you create and command units/faction.

Pros:
-Interesting background lore with iconic units/heroes
-okey battle AI, some improvements over previous total war games, mainly due how units work
-some variation between factions and how they are played
-chaos horde and impending doom, was fun to defend in coop especially
-has coop/head to head campaign, also multiplayer battles
-fun to have those massive 4 stack armies vs 4 stack enemy armies, although massive battles happen very rarely(more than 2vs2) without any mods

Cons:
-streamlined and boring campaign map that feels very barebones and empty due simplifications, no depth. Very sad as warhammer lore is very buzzling of cities and lore.
-building/city system very simplistic, maybe not as annoying as in total war attila/rome2 but certainly way more boring. would take attila's complexity any day over no complexity at all
-diplomacy almost non existant due streamlining decisions on many features, lacks any depth or variation.
-very limited amount of factions to play, hurts coop plays especially. DLCs might fix this by time, costy way to fix the problem though
-crashes are still a thing, specially on coop. Updates/fixes/balancing are rather slow on this game. Mostly only come when new dlc is released
-losing many of the faction flavor when playing in coop, no chapters for example, just plain conquer/raze 80 provinces.
-no historical/scenario multiplayer battles, only skirmish

Mods could fix some of the problems, however current mod tools are very restricted. For example It is why many are struggling on creating interesting factions with all features(quests, can only edit factions that are already in game, and many more). Could be changed in future, but I doubt it. Specially as these are developers way of making extra money through dlcs.
And the cost of DLCs seem worrysome so far. Hopefully they will improve the grand campaign map in future. And not just new hordes that razes the places that are already kinda low in number. Game really feels unfleshed out.

So all in all, would recommend getting the game at sale. Maybe when stand-alone expansions come. Won't happen for a while though.

Great concept and idea. Decent execution which however suffers from bad development.

In other words game is buggy and not fleshed out too greatly. Tutorial for one doesn't explain all features at all. Bugs are still in game and they are game breaking. Captain being stuck on edge of shore being the worst one since you cannot continue the game when that happens. Then there is bugs like ranged skill not gaining experience from use and many balancing issues.

Also seems like development has stopped and team has moved on. Which leaves you with the bugs at hand forever.
Regrettably I cannot recommend this game and would suggest staying away from this even when it is 75 % off.
