Fun at first but becomes a math counting game real fast with meta decks that stay intentionally at pool limits.
Ofcourse the best decks include paid cards.

So it will be a uphill battle if you plan to play for free, if that is fine with you then I would say give this game a try.
In general though, I wouldn't recommend this game for everyone currently.
I don't know how they could broaden this very limited gameplay. But maybe if they are able to do it somehow, this could be a very fun casual game for everyone.

I agree with what others have said, it's a memory game after initial fascination to the mechanics.
You don't really use your wits besides that.

Simple yet has depth if you really get into it. Luck and RNG required at higher ascension levels.
But what makes this game even greater are the mods. One even adds coop and multiplayer elements to the game.

Certainly worth the 5 bucks on sale.

Garbo copycat game of Heartstone BattleGrounds that doesn't really bring anything new to the game besides supports. Ofcourse the OP heroes are behind paywall/huge grind. Besides heroes there is not much to reach for, so not much of a progress in the game.

Worth it for the -75% sale price. If you love Dungeon Keeper games this is right up your alley.
However does get a bit repetitive due how the campaign is set up. Basically you do same research/upgrading/boosting your units/heroes every game the same way over and over. And the units/levels/upgrades don't stay over to the next stage. You can play skirmishes/scenarios instead though if you like just building a dungeon without story.

Currently plagued by countless bugs, especially multiplayer is unplayable.
Would steer away from this game for a while until the bugs atleast have been fixed and the game is atleast at playable status. Game does need a lot of content too, but devs are working on it.
Hopeful for the future and the game has potential. Not many games could be as fun in coop.

Personally I don't believe pre alpha games should be in Early Access though.

Bugs are mostly ironed out since 2018. And even content has been added since release for free.
Worth the 10 bucks on sale.

Great farming style of game where you collect stuff and have small storylines.
Good game to play as solo, great with friends/SO.

Company has total sellout practices which affects the game in many ways. Both in development and in features. Console release being the latest one to affect such, but not forgetting past events either(like the chinese ad issue&microtransactions).
Development has been slow lately due console release and bugs still varied in countless ways. SSD being one of requirements to make game playable(yet not listed so in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ requirements list). Even free beta testing from players doesn't help them to remove the bugs and warping. Not to mention cheaters.

This game is a big hit though, and 1.0 will probably bring last patch of huge influx of new players in to the game. Therefore fun time for new players to still enjoy the game.

I still wouldn't recommend this game though unless you are a hardcore fan of the series and can't get enough of it elsewhere. Even then you should really look if you want to support this kind of company whose only success was excellent marketing plan.

Very simple game that doesn't have much depth to it. Less so than other board games available in Steam.
Even something like Talisman series have more depth to them than this game does.
Not worth the asking price. Maybe worth to pick up for 5 dollars or less to play with friends.
