Lazy por. No keyboard inputs on tutorials or on anything. Shows controller inputs instead. Finding how to do things even in keybindings is hard as hell as not all is shown there(like kick).

Also crashes happen often in this game. Before even reaching first bonfire. One fix is to play as knight or set lightning quality to low. That doesn't stop all crashes though.

Avoid for now, maybe patches will flesh these out by time. But we shall see, Dark souls patches pushes in slowly so the wait might be a mighty one.

First thing I have to say that the game is decent when it comes to new players to the series. Specially those that enjoyed Skyrim's questing.

However as a fan to the series, it was dissapointing how they ripped all the meaningful RPG and questing elements from previous games and made them barebones. Only skill that affects dialogue is Charisma, and even then it mostly only affects how much extra money you get from quests.

Gameplay elements however were improved somewhat. Although you can feel how the engine behind it is getting old. The new base building is fresh and welcome addition, but ends up being pretty meaningless and not used much.

Only thing that can bring life back to this game is mods and hopefully some good dlc. However until such happens I can't recommend this game at full price, maybe not even at half price since season pass is costy. They haven't even released creation kid for modders yet.


So all in all, I would let this game sweeten year or two and buy it at bargain bin.

Was a promising start, but then only turned to cash cow. No support for the game, only support for selling of dlcs.
Sad state to affairs, shouldn't have expected anything better though.

Game is okey still if you can handle bugs, unbalance, other oddities or don't get constant crashes. Sadly many of the interesting factions are behind paywall and leaves you with only few choises. Specially if you like to play as an underdog or as a none horde faction.

Would say the base game is worth 10~20 dollars if you are able to avoid the bad sides.
Personally I disliked the choises they made when it comes to development. Extra dlc campaigns feels boring to me. The time could have been spent improving the game instead.

Games is good, however I cannot recommend the game due always online requirement of the company. You can't play the game if you can't login or connect to their servers.
Recent update gave a small taste of how you can't play the game at all when this happens. In future who knows how long you will be able to play the game when they don't fix the problems anymore. Heck nobody knows when they are gonna fix the current login problems.

EDIT: The login problem has been fixed for me atleast for now. However the game also suffers from constant freezes which are very annoying. Can't alt tab or anything so it is hard freezing. Another reason that is caused by social club i bet as it always happens between loading screens.

Bad controller support, only supports one specific controller and rest just have to suck it up and use keyboard instead.

Glitchy buggy and repetitive.
Movement doesnt feel fluent and clearly were made for controller in mind only. Just not enjoyable experience for the price it currently costs.

Very simplistic and repetitive game. Fun for 2 hours, but after that there is no variety to speak of.

Can't recommend this game even for free when there are free games out there that have more depth and variety than this game does.
One to name would be Stone Soup, it has way more depth and variety than this game. Has greater replayability, more roguelike gameplay and more features. Only thing going for Shattered Planet is the art and look of it.

So all in all, look elsewhere if you want this type of game. Don't buy this even at 75 % off sale.

Cannot recommend this game at current state. It is lackluster in features and content, and all the content that makes it special are coming in DLC. Although comparing this to old Gal Civ 2 is in some ways unfair, to customer it doesn't matter. Gal civ 3 is reinventing the wheel, and yet gal civ 2 is the same in almost every way if not better. Only thing that Gal Civ 3 has going for it is multiplayer which didn't exist in the previous one. It is a good improvement, but if you don't use it, the game is inferior and stripped of content to make room for DLCs.

So I would recommend getting Gal Civ 2 or some other 4X space strategy game, that is fleshed out and prim of content, and wait on this one. Maybe if and when the "ultimate edition" comes out in distant future at discounted price this will be worth it. But currently not worth it even at half price when you can just get Gal Civ 2 for few bucks when on sale.

Campaign, tech tree and ship designer is almost the same. Only few minor improvements from previous one. Campaign is still pretty tame just like in previous one and poorly executed. There is also ideology, but it is rather shallow and not all that interesting.

Could talk more about this, but I'm just here to give me general thought. Which is to wait on this one.

Constant crashes and disconnects makes this game unplayable and not something I can recommend to anyone.
This also "suprisingly" affects how you earn coins in the game(which you use to get new packs). Meaning lost effort and income when disconnection happens. It's also funny how it always happens right after you beat the quest or earn coins in some other way so that they can "invalid" it.

It is also hard to valuate online mode due these reasons. Can't even check 1vs1 duels or the more important 2vs2 mode.

I would recommend holding off on playing this game. It is very lackluster and very unbalanced which also favors buying the new classes. Only 2 gamemodes and 5 maps currently that are playable.
The game has "fair" free2play model though. Even if you will have more fun with getting a class as start due nobody else having atleast one until lvl 5.

There are also other small problems and annoyances. So would wait for an year or two on letting this game flash itself.
These are just my small opinions of the game though.
