Edit: They fixed it

Per Aspera has got to be one of the best games about terraforming on the market today. So you might be wondering why I gave it a "not recommended" after saying something like that? Well its because the devs have screwed up in so many places and it makes the game suffer because of it. If you get the game with the goal that you are going to turn mars fully green then don't, you can't. You just can't. Isn't that kind of strange? In a game all about turning mars from a barren wasteland to a luscious Earth-like planet wouldn't you think one of the main points would be turning mars green?

The devs decided to take away all satisfaction from this game by programming the game in a way that makes all vegetation in a radius around most building destroy all of it and never allow it to grow back. So that means by the end of your play through you will have a partially green mars with a bunch of ugly red blobs all around where your buildings are. It completely ruins this game because it means you will never have a truly green mars and it makes no sense why the devs would make such a decision.

There are also a bunch of other problems that this game suffers from but they are not as bad as the first problem stated. There are also very useless and way to low caps on literally everything. Buildings? Can only build so many. Colonists? Can only have so many. Literally anything else? Probably has some stupid cap on it for some reason. Of course you can increase it through research but only by so much. What I would have done instead is make it so that the last research allows for a infinite amount of whatever you researched, whether that be buildings, colonists, you name it, if it has a cap it should go away in the end. There really isn't a need for it and it just makes things complicated.

So although this is the best terraforming game on the market now it really shouldn't be all the hard for another game to top it. Honestly this game has set the bar so low for future terraforming games considering all the shortcomings this game has. Hopefully soon someone will make a better Per Aspera without all these weird and nonsensical mechanics in the game to ruin it.

Really, really good game. Hours upon hours of fun. Really fun solo but is much more fun with another person. Very complex but the game kind of eases you into it so the beginning is pretty simple. Start with nothing but you, a crashed ship and a couple of resources and then build a giant factory that takes 20+ minutes to go from one end to another on a train. The aliens that attack can be turned off as well so if you just want a factory builder without the constant threat then that is an option as well. Give this game a try and you will probably like it if you like factory/automation games.

In Wolfenstein Youngblood you play as Blazkowicz's twin daughter. This game would be alright but there are just major things that bother me in this game. It seems as though enemies will randomly spawn in places that you already cleared out during a battle and it gets really annoying really fast. That problem isn't really that bad and this game would be, like I said, alright if it wasn't for one major thing.

This thing I am referring to is the fact that the game takes every opportunity to make the sisters as cringy as possible. For example, every time you enter an elevator it actives a "quirky" scene of the sisters just messing around and I just hate it, it gets really old really fast. Like who would be dancing and messing around in an elevator seconds after you just got done kill Nazis while also being surrounded by a bunch of Nazis as well. It is just not realistic and really really bothers me. That is not the only thing that makes the sisters really cringy, another thing is just a bunch of their interaction and a bunch of their dialogue between them, it is just really, really cringy.

Other than that though being able to slay Nazis in co-op is really fun, the game is hard at times but so were the other Wolfenstein games as well. This almost feels like a Wolfenstein game and it would be an alright game if the sisters were actually written and made to be taken seriously.

TLDR: The game is fun and its alright but the sisters are too cringy and it really makes the game suffer because of it.

CARRION was a very fun game, you really feel like a terrifying, deadly alien monster thing. It is short but even though it is short I would still say I do not regret spending $20 on this, this was truly a very fun and unique experience. After the end it just made me want more, I really hope you consider adding dlc/making a sequel because after the end I feel like there could be so many cool things you could do with that, if you do make a sequel then I would recommend you go more into depth about the origin of the creature or something, it would be cool to see how it got there when they discovered it. Anyways amazing game, very fun and enjoyable experience.

If you have ever wanted to experience Half-Life but but you didn't because of the dated graphics then play this. This is a much, much better experience than the original Half-Life. The graphics are amazing, the environments are amazing, the storytelling is amazing, pretty much everything in this remake is amazing and it is because they didn't change too much. They redesigned pretty much all the areas and made them better while also keeping the same feeling and architecture of the areas, making them feel the same but making them look much, much better.

The entire atmosphere has improved, in the original Half-Life there wasn't much going on in the background (which is understandable because it was made in like 1998 or sometime around there and the technology was limited.) but in Black Mesa there is so much going on in the back ground, so much more attention to detail. When you get to the surface it feels like you just entered a war zone. There are jets and alien spaceships flying across the sky. Constant sounds of gunshots, explosions, and jet engines in the background. It feels like all out war.

In the original Half-Life the story wasn't really told very well, you were just kind of supposed to pick up on what was happening, either by radios, random scientists, or just clues around the areas. It didn't really do well in explaining why you were doing what you were doing. I mean some parts were better than others but for the most part there isn't really a story being told and it is entirely possible to miss out on all of this. Black Mesa's storytelling still stays relatively the same, relying on radios, scientists, and clues to figure out what is going on, but there is just much more dialogue and explaining going on to give a better story. Black Mesa just handles the storytelling much better than Black Mesa.

The game play stays pretty much the same, same weapons, same movement, pretty much all the same. They changed the difficulty a bit, while it isn't an easy game, it is easier than Half-Life, I got frustrated with Half-Life quite a bit because there would be random difficulty spikes. Especially when you first get to the surface and also Xen. Black Mesa handles the difficulty really well making the experience much more enjoyable. There are not many difficulty spikes and I didn't really get frustrated with Black Mesa as I usually do with Half-Life in some points.

And then there is Xen. Oh my god did they do Xen justice. The Original Xen was lame, looked like mud really. A lot of annoying platforming that you could easily fall and die on. Original Xen was so plain and very lame. The Gonarch fight was alright, but the Nihilanth, the final boss was just boring. By the end of original Xen on my first play through of Half-Life I was just wishing for it to be over, on my other play through though I just skipped Xen since it was frustrating and boring.

The new Xen is fantastic though. They turned a lifeless idea into a thriving ecosystem, introducing new alien life and plant life as well. They made Xen look amazing and I can now see why it took so long to make. Xen itself is almost like an entirely different game, it is really lengthy but it doesn't drag on one bit. Xen looks amazing, they even added an entire village section to Xen that never existed in the original and it is amazing. The Gonarch fight is about the same but it is just much better, I think the chase sequences really were improved upon, and the final fight with Gonarch is just amazing. The music used in Xen is also just great, it really adds to the entire feel of the new Xen and it is just really amazing. Then there is Nihilanth, they improved this boss fight by 110%, seriously, what was originally just a boring fight, turned into a suspenseful fight. They completely redid the entire boss fight and it really did need that re design.

All in all, Black Mesa is just an amazing fan remake that really stays truthful to the original, it just improves upon an already great game and makes the experience much more enjoyable. This is what I imagine Valve wanted to do with Half-Life but couldn't because of the technological limitations of the time of it being made. This is truly the best way to experience the Half-Life story. The original is great but this remake is far, far better and that is hard to do when making remakes of games, especially when the remake is made by fans. The developers of Black Mesa did an amazing job.

This game... idk what to say about it except for it was freaking awsome. I enjoyed every bit of it. It's a shame tho, theres no vr support, that would be hella cool. Anyways this game was awsome, the game is about 2 hours long, maybe 3 depending on if your a completionist. Get this game if you like parkour and action. Such an awsome experience, great job devs.
