I haven't had fun like this in close to 15 years. Everything you read is true, its a turbo'd 360 era game that puts fun first and monetization second. It's not even outlandish to say this game changed my life. I always knew Warhammer was a franchise obviously, but this game has made me want more and more of it. I've began to read, something I haven't done since I was in high school. I'm buying figures and enjoying hobbies off of my PC more than I used too. It might be a phase but its the true power a game like this has. It can remind us why we all fell in love with gaming in the first place. To enjoy experiences that we will never forget. The best money I've spent on a game in a decade.

I've been playing since D1's original release, I was more dedicated than everyone in my friend group combined. With this last patch/bug I can't stomach the game anymore. I've been there for every bad decision and the launch of every great journey. I've seen it all, the rise and fall of thorn, the launch of both games, to amazing expansions saving it. I loved witch queen, tolerated light fall, and adored Final shape. However bungie in there infinite wisdom has decided my name is against TOS. SkyeKingTv, now if you think that name is for some reason and issue I'd love to hear how. However I built my identity as a gamer based on this name tag. It really started with destiny. To lose this name is almost the same as deleting my guardian. Taking every effort I've ever afforded this game and snapping it out of existence. To many this is a small bug that means nothing. This is my breaking point. I will never support a game that can rip the identity of the players away and go "Whoopsies." Pretending like this doesn't matter. Instead of rolling back they in there infinite stubbornness said it was "our" faults for having against TOS names. If my name is fine in every other community/game I've ever played. Why isn't it here bungie? This is just another step they are taking to kill there company in its entirety. I would defend this game tooth and nail, but now? Now I just a sad gamer watching another franchise I love get passed by. Due to horrible management and ego driven choices that cause stress on the player base. This was once a series worth investing in. Now more than ever this is the time to get out and find a new home. Hard as it is

UPDATE 9/5/24
I got my name back and so did SOME others I know. However still plenty of people who are unable to get there name back that was taken from them. While I'm glad my name is back, I still recommend you do not play this game. Not only did they take forever to fix what clearly was a simple "give name token" issue. (For the most part) They did not admit to there own fault in any meaningful sense. It broke my heart when I heard, and read from many people that all names banned where "Edgy" or "Broke TOS" I've heard this from alot of people, including big name streamers. They made it seem like every name change was justified. I'm happy they fixed it but until the own up to pushing a truly horrid update and all the other things they've done I would not recommend it. Especially given the lack of updates. Sure they said today they plan to update us so we'll have to see where it goes.

TLDR: Do not play this until bungie has a solid plan for the games future.

Valve listened and is actually putting in some effort into this game. I am so happy with them listening to us. Please play tf2 and keep it going!

Very simple review
Cons.
Battle pass and lack of customization? Horrible. (No don't go "IT'S A BETA" I was in the closed flight, it's almost identical. Nothing changed)
Some guns just feel bad, or underwhelming. Very minor nit-pick and can easily be fixed

Pro's.
Almost everything.
It's stunning to look at, it's not the most pretty game I've seen but it's nice to see halo in 4k.
It feels classic while being refreshing.
The assault rifle is actually good for once in the franchises history.
The soundtrack. It's not the original composer we all love, but it's good.
Mechanically it's a very sound and fun game.

I'd say give it a shot, but don't spend money on it, they really need to fix there monetization. I'm all for supporting a game but 90% of your customization content should not be locked behind massive pay walls while also being objectively a downgrade from other games. Free to play or not, it's an excuse and a horrible one.

Let me start off by saying I bought the game at full price. I wanna go over the pro's and con's of the game. This will be short and sweet!
Pros
Multiplayer. It's why we buy it
The community.
Vast world
A progression system (Personally I enjoy how we level)
It's fallout 4 with your friends
Wacky, sometimes the small glitch's are hilarious

Cons
Lots of bugs. I see NPC'S frozen in place every so often
Bodies can disappear to fast
You don't feel that sense of 1 driving story
It was rough on start

My over all opinion is bethesada seems to be giving it a better shot now. They are listing and fixing most of what people were upset about. Is it perfect? Hell no but if you like'd fallout 4 you'll love this game if you have a friend to play with. The solo isn't half bad but why buy this for solo?

As a vet of the game I have to say it is by far the best free to play I have ever played. However it's not for everyone you have to be willing to grind and spend a lot of time playing to Experience the game properly. If you can do that it's by far one of the funnest and most time consuming games out there! The community is also a huge plus I have never encountered a more friendly group of players!

Edit: Still good game

Edit: After many many hours, and DE not knowing what the player base wants. I can no longer recommend this game. This isn't the fun space ninja adventure I watched grow. They continue to throw story to the wind for new BS that everyone will do in 2 days and forget. They continue to balance things worse than a drunk man on a tight rope. I used to love this game, sink days into it. Not anymore. I'm sorry but the grind isn't worth it when there isn't even love behind the project anymore.

Edit: 2023
DE Did the good, I came back after a few years and put more time into it. I have to say, it's alot more new player friendly and fresh.
