I've been playing fighting games for the better part of five minutes and I gotta say this game checks all the right boxes for me. Pretty easy to pick up and learn the basics. I was able to get a good gist of the core mechanics faster than it took to connect to the servers.

This game is gorgeous, from the maps to choose from to the plethora of music to choose from to help mask the white noise that is Totsugeki. And the cast might be the best selection I've ever seen in a fighting game. They have a trope for everyone from Cyberpunk 2077 reject vampire samurai to a teleporting dolphin that brings around an anchor wielding child soldier who occasionally hits you with said anchor. There's even a Jojo reference voiced by Dio himself but for some strange reason they gave the ability to stop time to an Australian hippy who is too afraid to approach me.

Online matchmaking is excellent, it's like the Sea World employee is playing right next to me. The Tower mechanic is also pretty good. Whenever I do good I am punished by going up a floor to get my face kicked and sent back down after that's over. It's like getting a surprise visit from dad but Instead of a hug he hits me with a Potemkin Buster and tosses me back into the filth.

Overall, a great Netflix Original Anime. Highly recommend.
