Needs probably another 2 years to bake. Feels really janky even compared to other MMOs developed by small teams like Monsters & Memories or EverCraft. Movement was extremely stuttery and would randomly slow to a crawl and clicking the mouse would teleport you a short distance forward. All monsters run at low health (probably the worst thing they borrowed from EQ). Animations made combat feel terrible. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this fell short of even limited expectations.

Edit:
The weird stuttery / slow movement was caused by the default vsync option. When framerates went over 100, movement would get progressively slower. Changing vsync to one of the other two (unexplained) options fixed this. This makes the game playable, and less frustrating. Still not happy with some design decisions, but the game is growing on me.

On rails tutorial is so boring I'm having a really hard time finishing it.

Developers gaslit the community for 6 months waiting for this big announcement, that turned out to just be a console release that completely ignored the current players.

Update: June 12th. Dev team just confirmed nothing patch wise for another 4 months. It has been multiple months without even bug fix updates. In the video release today they said they "may" patch bugs between now and Oct. 15th. New season pushed back to Oct. 15th as well. No plan for what they are now calling "legacy" servers, which are already borderline dead in terms of player counts. Console players will join fresh start servers that won't allow character transfers.

They are trying to push out existing players and do a quick cash grab from console players. Recommend not starting this game.

Update: Oct 16, 2024. Since Reviews of this game that released THREE YEARS AGO are now being marked as "pre-release" in yet another round of gaslighting and lying from AGS, I figured I should update my review to hopefully avoid them doing this here. They are trying everything they can to evade the negative reputation this game got among the PC community, to the point of pretending like this is some kind of brand new game.

Worst launch I've seen. Never refunded a game on Steam before, but this is a candidate. "Early Access" implies that the game is at least somewhat playable. This is not.

Do not buy unless they make major improvements.
