Seems insane for a sim game to release with no sandbox mode.

In regards to the developer response, while I appreciate the workaround, why is a workaround necessary? If you want to lock the sandbox behind career progression (as some games do) at the very least you should have a grayed out sandbox option in the main menu with a note on what to do to unlock it. Right away, not "after playing the main zoo for a day" - This is very basic stuff that games in 2004 were doing. I unfortunately still cannot recommend the game.

Constant massive updates that add nothing to the game have absolutely ruined the game for me considering I live in the middle of nowhere with trash internet. It's WEEKLY or more, and they are literally adding nothing, why am I downloading 10-20GB PER WEEK?

On top of that, the game's pretty fun, at least in my limited beginner experience. Unfortunately I can't continue because the devs have no respect for my SSD.

I didn't like the NPC's, they felt weird and robotic, the world felt flat and generic, and overall, I just felt no charm that would make me want to spend my time here. There are plenty of other farm/sim games with a better story, atmosphere and setting.

A beautiful work of art worth spending an evening/weekend on. Handcrafted scenes that honestly deserve far more recognition than they've ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I agree with some of the negative reviews that the game could use more accessibility options and better feedback/UI optimization, but I don't think it's egregious enough to skip the game.

Ugly as hell except in screenshots, gives me an absolute headache to play. TAA is a plague. Xess is blurry. FSR is grainy. DLSS is for rtx cards only. GIVE ME MSAA OR GIVE ME DEATH.

A little buggy, I've had a few crashes so far which frustrate me given the lack of easy save feature, but I understand that it's an early access game.

Beyond the bugs, this is basically the TRULY cosy, relaxing, stress-free version of Stardew. I played upwards of 100 hours of Stardew on launch but ended up dropping it after I found that the characters fall flat and the gameplay loop is unsatisfying. In Mistria, a lot of the issues I had with Stardew are resolved: Fishing? CHILL. Customisation? EXTENSIVE. Characters? Well written (with actual personality!)

TLDR It's Stardew for the girlies.
