I'd definitely recommend this game. The real challenge for me in the beginning was learning the mechanics and how to fight properly, once I got the hang of that things got slightly easier, though that didn't stop me from dying countless times. I'm still on my first playthrough of the game, and it's a blast! It's such a great feeling when you accomplish something in Dark Souls, especially when you've been having such a difficult time with it. If you haven't got the patience and don't want to deal with dying often, then don't play this game, it's not for you.
