An absolutely stunning blend of JRPG tactics and VN style social management.

Its a time sink (my final playtime for run 1 was around 90 hours, and that sounds to be fast for a first run), but I'm already looking forward to doing a NG+ someday. Just maybe not binged in two weeks.

Ready or not, an early access title where you have to buy a $100 DLC ONTOP of the base price of $50 to be able to play, test influence new content (I.e the point of buy early access).

While this is a good game, I'd generally say give your money to a dev that doesn't feel like its hoarding cash for a runner.

Questions of value are subjective, sure. But complaining and negative reviewing because things like helis etc are missing misses the point of an early access title...

Alot of meh features, several of which (like the tank builder) are rendered obsolete by the balance patch that accompanied this DLC.

Very strange to do "Russia" and "Baltics" but leave out Russia's key opponent other than Germany (Finland) from any sort of update or interesting mechanic.

Logistics and AI are straight borked, if the AI Soviets can never win historical runs, how are players supposed to?

While I love the game and series it's hard to recommend at full price at time of release:
- There are Significant performance issues
- No sandbox campaign (story is on rails and if you ignore it you lose, just for playing it like any other TW game)
- Significant bugs in basic features like siege battles (Skaven sieges are hell to attack and path through)
- Really arcadey mechanics that aren't fun to deal with (Magically instabuilding extra long range towers anyone?)
- Effectively early access build of the full game sold at full price

25-50% off and I'd say sure what you get now is fine. As it is premium AAA grade pricing is pretty steep.

Game's been abandoned by Devs to the point that it's currently compromised with malware that can use the game as a trojan to inject your PC, avoid it like the plague

TLDR - terrain almost makes it worth it but then you're supporting lazy DEV practices and concerning CDLC quality in the future. If you want the terrain its worth it, but if you want content Download CUP.

** Particularly concerning is that the Dev team has already signalled they aren't interested in taking feedback, With a lead dev going so far as to refer to those raising complaints as "clueless" on their Discord.**

+ Beaut terrain well done - but get rid of the furniture in buildings so we can run larger ops in towns

- DLC is absolutely riddled with bugs and shortcuts that make the build feel like a bad april fools joke or early access
- Vanilla sounds that are clearly not the calibre being fired, badly configed weapon animations, hidden selections visible on most units.
- Assets like the Abrams ripped from the A2 sample library with no real updates to textures and using base tank configs.
- Assets like the interiors of tanks missing textures so you can see straight through them.

Steampunk company of heroes, what more can I ask for!
