I have had an absolute blast with this game just by myself and have barely scratched the surface content wise. The game runs butter smooth (except for a few weird instances like using underways to travel). The voice acting is also superb and has plenty of great and memorable lines from a multitude of colourful and vibrant characters. Gameplay wise, you can choose from many different factions that play entirely differently from one another and give varied experiences depending on how you choose to level your lords and upgrade your cities, allowing for players to come up with and devise multiple strategies to take over and conquer land. A personal favourite of mine being the tomb kings, undead ancient Egyptian like skeletons who command massive armies of said skeletons and ancient constructs to overpower and crush their foes. (If you own the first total war warhammer game you can play a special campaign that combines the maps of the two games and lets you play as any faction from either game, DLC also carries over from the first game into the second and provides you the content to play with and use) The game also offers plenty of tutorials for newcomers to aid them in learning the basics of the game, these can be toggled on and off at any time to the players desired preferences. The only gripe I have with the game is the DLC, and there is a lot of it, spread between two games. The DLC isn't needed unlike a paradox game, they only offer things like new units and or playable factions but all rework stuff and core gameplay changes are always free. In saying that, it is quite annoying to have such a large amount of content gated behind a paywall. It is nice that the DLC from the first game carries over to the second though.

In a rather informal and unorganised way of summing up my review, this game is a very fun pass-time game or just a game to sit down play. It's an even better game with friends, considering you can either co-op or go head to head in an entire multiplayer campaign.

I can't fly out to Africa to poach exotic animals anymore because of the 'rona travel ban. This game is a good substitute for that.
