it's alright

This game has the most realistic gun simulation that I have ever seen in a video game, let alone a VR game. There's just something so therapeutic about sitting in an open range, and testing out the wide variety of firearms that this game has to offer. From famous guns such as the M1911, to lesser known, more obscure weapons, this game is full of content that extends well past its price tag.

This is without a doubt one of the best games that I have ever played. Before playing Half-Life: Alyx, my #1 video game of all time was Breath of the Wild. This is no longer the case as every aspect of this game was amazing to me. Every system and every mechanic functions so perfectly and I cannot express how much of a necessity this game is, if you own a VR headset.

When I saw this game's trailer at E3, I was instantly excited. Knowing that one of my favorite games would receive a sequel made this game one of my most anticipated of 2019. Watching the 2019 press conference, however did make me sad due to the delay, but I knew that more time in the oven was important and that the game would be worth it. When it finally came out, I was amazed at how polished each mechanic was in the game. It felt like everything that had been in the previous game was improved upon in every way. The gunplay was fantastic as always and it ran like a dream. The only gripe I have is about the tutorials. Though you can turn them off, they should not be as intrusive as they are. Nothing breaks my immersion more than getting transported from the arena into a random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial room. Despite that, this game met, and even succeeded my expectations. (Edit: The DLC is really good)

This game is a complete work of art and I recommend it 100%. Although the crude humor is a bit much, the game becomes almost zen after playing for hours. This game is part of the Roguelike genre and I hope it gets more exposure!
