The most video game of all the video games I have ever played

I played 5 zombie games, only died to zombies once. Somehow more packet loss than dmz a year ago and is somehow less fun. It was a low bar but at least it was free!

My goodness I love Frictional Games. I've always preferred Penumbra over Amnesia because of the story and mechanics of the game and it honestly feels like I'm playing Penumbra for the first time again but with an extreme amount of detail. Every time I go back into a room, I notice more little things or different stuff to do. I swear the AI changes its pattern whenever I figure out how to cheese it (my biggest problem with Frictional Games has been the ability to cheese every enemy, making the game play a bit repetitive).

As always, reviews made me think that I'd beat this in 4 hours and be done.... HOW? Almost 6 hours in, still have very little idea of how close I am to the end and I just want to keep playing (despite the very real fear) to help our boy escape. I am playing on the hardest out of the box difficulty, but honestly I don't want to change it. I'm actually spooked in this game. I'm actually surprised by the events that occur or what I am allowed to do. Love the idea of "this is the place you are, this is all it is; make due", kinda like OG resident evil style.

Any time I book it to the Admin room... you bet it feels like turning off the light and running to your bedroom when you were a kid. Half the time, if I feel like taking a chance, I book it and try to slam the door behind me and the beast is RIGHT behind me.

"Adrenaline without jump scares" would be my tag line. High recommend if you want some real horror without just feeling like you are being jumped at. Its the slow burn for me and then booking it when you realize you're standing there like the deer in headlights.

So this game has basically became more of a lifestyle for me. Ever since it came out and I had played it as a whole, episode 1-5, I have had a different perspective of just, THINGS. You realize the effects you have on the world around you and what really matters. Choices that may not make a difference to you now may later. People you know now and how you talk to them give results that are parallel.

Maxine is an incredibly relatable character to many, where she is still her, but it's what you guide her to do, that makes her relatable. She is extremely shy, but through development, you can make her outgoing. Or maybe you are still just as shy, and prefer to keep it that way, do it. It's 2016, everyone stores memories in a picture. This game capitalizes on this, and gives a physical photo. I got so attached to the thought of a camera that just gives you the photo that I bought a polaroid instant camera.

This game puts an impact on your life and makes you think. I love it. I know this isn't a pro/con review but there are already a million so why bother?

This is exactly the perfect game that Frictional Games could have made. As a lover of the Pnumbra series, I had to buy this game, the amount of thought put into this was incredible and the audio and visuals were spot on. I would never buy a game for $30 with the way that the path games are taking now a days, ever. I put a lot of faith into this company spending this money and I am way more happy with it than ever imagined. Amazing story. Amazing graphics. Ambience. Spooky as hell. Thought provoking.

The feeling of being human comes alive with the story and I cannot recommend it enough. All the characters are people you get attached too, in one way or the other. You may hate someone but isn't that the way to show the connection between you and another? If you have real feelings of hate or love or anything? They pull this off perfectly.

Pnumbra had a little of this, with Red. Especially with Clarance, little b****. In this game though they really drove the point. It was an amazing story and the next game they release is a 100% chance I'll buy it.

If you like horror, you'll enjoy this. If you think it'll be too hard or too easy, don't. Many aspects are very challenging but through careful observation you'll make it. I would never say it's too easy. I believe it is a perfect combonation. Also you can save at any point, so if you want to leave and take a break, you aren't waiting for that save spot. I have heard some instance of it being framy but I have not experienced it past the autosaves 2 second frame lag.

So in conclusion, I say buy this game, turn up the volume to dangerous levels, and immerse yourself into this amazing game.

This game is so wonderful. From the simplistic level design and color scheme to the elegant and peaceful music. Not even yet mentioning the puzzles themselves. The puzzles have already had me absorbed into this game and it has only been and hour. Figuring out the basics is very simple and it is a great way to just pass time. At points you will feel like a level is impossible but once you get it, the satisfaction is great. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a puzzle game, very fun!

This game has consumed my life and is just absolutely fantastic. Buy it.
