There's a lot of variety in the environments and builds. And up until elden ring it was the only game where I could run havelknight armor while powerstancing zweihanders.

I'm giving this a very shaky thumbs up. While the AI isn't as cracked as it used to be, it's still pretty bad. Gunplay is good and your teammates are (mostly) competent and all that, but the suspect AI leaves a lot to be desired.

They never surrender unless you flash them. The only thing they do is shoot on sight. No hesitation, no hiding, no fleeing, they see you, they start blasting. It makes things a bit stale when this game is supposed to be seen as a swat 4 successor where the AI will do all these things.

Also the suspects make zero sense in the game. Why does a twitch streamer have 5 goons with fully automatic rifles. Why do some gangsters at the gas station have full auto smgs and rifles. Why do the school shooters have full auto rifles? It doesn't really make sense to me why these suspects have access to all this high end weaponry when in reality they should only have handguns, semi-auto rifles, and shotguns. I should only expect high end gear against terrorists and cartel members.

The AI also still has strangely good aim. An overweight twitch streamer with cat ears should not be able to consistently wallbang me. Gangsters and dudes with no shooting experience have the reflexes and aim of soldiers. Doesn't really make any sense to me.

The maps themselves seem oddly labyrinth in design like they're straight out of R6 Siege. Why is the gas station so big? Does a map busting a smuggling operation really need to be the size of a football field? This wouldn't normally be that bad, except you can't sprint, and civilians have a tendency to hide in nooks and crannies leading me to spend 5-15 mins searching for the last guy.

Despite my complaints, I'm still giving the game a thumbs up because its fun. I haven't played with friends since early access, but so far solo has been an enjoyable experience and I'd imagine with friends it'd be even better. I haven't touched mods yet, so I can't comment on the modding scene.

Overall, if your fine with the AI being inconsistent and you're looking for a tactical shooter itch, this'll fill it.

It's good

Stalker in VR. Pretty good.

I love it when they remove one of the most memorable scenes from the game and VR in general over some "do better" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
