I typically do not enjoy horror games whatsoever. However, while this IS a horror game, it doesn't feel like your standard one. To me, it's more of a mystery solver that's fun as heck with friends.

Do I sometimes get spooked? Yes.
Do I occasionally hide in the van? Yes, but also because I bring most of the equipment (excuse).
Do I goad my friends into going back in for those optional objectives, knowing how risky it is at that point? Also yes.

Am I a bad friend? Jury's out, but we enjoy this game nonetheless.

WHAT HAS BEEN WILL BE

Tabletop games and bananas. The game is a simulator for tabletop games, okay?

As a backer, I can honestly say this was worth it completely. Why, you ask? Well, let me explain it to you:

Nekos. Nekopara nekos. A full hour of beautifully animated Nekopara nekos. And cake.

What more could you possibly ask for?

This game is extremely replayable. I've played it for a lof of hours elsewhere as well, and while I may stop playing it for a while, I always come back to it. And then I suck because I'm out of practice. RIP win streak.

At this point, I can definitely say I love and adore this game. I have 100+ hours in it and have watched many more hours of gameplay on YouTube, and I'm still thoroughly enjoying every minute of it.

Sure, it can be absolutely devastating at times. You'll pull your hair out as you watch your heroes die to a certain swine god's friend (RIP David, Konata, etc.), and maybe you'll stop playing for weeks. If you truly enjoy this game though, you'll always find yourself coming back after your own stress levels have lowered enough.

Remember this: the game tells you when you start it up that it's about making the best out of a bad situation. Fewer words could be truer than this piece of advice. The only statement which rings truer, simply put and concise: "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer." Never forget these words. If you do or choose to ignore them, be prepared to face the most dangerous trials of your gaming life.

I've played quite a bit of this game at this point, and I never get bored with it. I just keep coming back with my friends to kill off some more zed and build super bunkers against feral zombies.

This game is still as awesome as I remember it. I have played through this game multiple times on all platforms, and it has never bored me once. I recently beat it on Steam and am working on completing all of the achievements; they only require a tiny bit of effort. Truly a fantastic game.
