This loving tribute to Jumping Flash is extremely well-made and gives a thrilling experience through and through, with a sometimes almost insane sense of altitude.

Unashamedly cute, the game knows its audience perfectly well, and its controls are largely intuitive and easy to understand.

The level design is usually pretty clear as well, although there are a couple of stages where it gets a bit more confusing; these levels may take a few tries as you figure out what they're expecting from you. But most of the levels do a great job at leading the player where they need to go.

My main criticisms of the game relate instead to issues of potential motion sickness. I am someone who doesn't get motion sick outside of extreme VR play, but there were quite a few moments where Forza Polpo made my head hurt and my stomach churn; my Twitch audience had a similar experience as well.

I'd attribute this mostly to the fact that the HUD moves independently from the camera, sometimes shaking, sometimes following at a remarkable delay. Occasionally this can cause some definite vertigo. If options were added to keep the HUD locked in place and possibly to reduce screen shaking or flashing, I would recommend this game without any asterisks.

For now, I still DO recommend the game, for sure -- but you may want to keep your sessions light and complete the game in several smaller chunks of play, especially if you suffer from motion sickness easily.
