Early Access Review
Even if I were to never pick up Feel the Snow again, I'd still have put in over 30 hours into the game and that in itself is a fair price for 30+ hours of entertainment. While I think it is fairly incomplete, which is fair since it's early access, I personally thought there were some great aspects to it and can't wait to see this game added on too. The customizeable house part and the thrill of the rush to build a cabin before darkness sets in was one of my favorite parts, and as frustrating as it was to have to walk all the way back to my location if I didn't have a warp pad, added to the fun and the stakes of it.

The good
-The slow rebuild of the town is alluring and satisfying. I like having that goal to work towards.
-The tension the dark of night brings early game is terrifying. How fast can you run to the nearest shelter AND shut the door before something gets you?
-Entertaining and challenging.
-Cabin customization is a huge plus. Being able to have your own garden is extremely helpful and also just lovely to look at.
-You actually have to keep track of your hunger and tools. A touch that keeps you aware and top of keeping your tools up so that you don't starve during a long battle or get trapped with a sword that breaks.

The bad
-Respawning with a monster in your house can get you stuck in an automatic loop of it murdering you everytime you respawn until you wait in the death screen for it to wander away.
-The expanse of land almost felt too big to wander through without more aspects to break it up. The occasional abandoned crates were neat, but largely, felt too empty and too repetitive.
-More ways to decorate your cabin would be lovely! Adding to the customizeable-ness would keep me coming back and wanting to discover all the ways I could decorate. (Rugs, varied paintings, wall paper, flowers in a vase, really spooky statues?)
-No character customization. This may mostly be a personal gripe, but being able to see the hats or armor you are wearing would be a nice touch. Anyway to decorate your character is a big plus.
-Looping dialogue with no tied ends. After I complete a quest, the npcs would repeat quest dialogue as if I hadn't completed the quest.

For all it's lacking, I still recommend the game. I maybe wouldn't buy it right now, but after it's expanded on, I'll be back to play some more. I love the idea, I love the game play, it just needs some more variation and some cleaning up.
