I've been a supporter since Kickstarter. Was really excited for this when it first came to be, but getting to this point all I can say is that it's disappointed me vastly.

The starting area is just a mess. No story to speak of. NPCs are randoms in tactical gear. I left the starting area to see if I could find any enemies... none. Animals? None. Just a bunch of people who gave up and logged out after making a campfire or something around the area.

It's a dead game. At this time, 2 PM on a saturday there is no one on any of the servers. Don't buy it. It's a corpse.

Why do I enjoy this so much?

You are going from task to task, filling things up and managing everything. It should feel tedious but it's just mind numbing fun. Great for a peaceful moment after your real job, to just turn yourself off for a bit. I am enjoying it thoroughly.

This game brings me back to the styles of eld. I wasn't good at those games. And I'm not the greatest at this. But it is fun to play on my Steam Deck as I'm laying on the couch. Don't know if I'd sit on my computer and play it as it seems limited for it, but the Deck makes this worth it in my opinion.

Awesome level design. Simple controls a dumbass could learn (me). And some cool cutscenes with old school dialogue.

Yeah I'm digging it.

I hate underwater games. I hate underwater levels. I hate stuff where you're timed and will die if the time runs out.

I love this game.

It's so full of fun and interesting story tidbits that I don't mind being underwater or being timed. It just makes the game all that more interesting and makes you resourceful. I loved following the clues and story trying to figure out what happened. I'm a big crafting guy and can spend hours building a base. In this game, I didn't even spend that much time doing it because I wanted to get back out there and figure out the story.

If you've been waiting to play this game or wondering if you should get it. Get it. It's honestly one of the best games I've played in a long time, and the sequel is just as good.

Amazing game. A stellar sequel to the first game that was full of story. Not as long in my opinion but the voice acting for the main character Robin was a huge improvement and kept me invested. I thought I'd miss the Cyclops and the Seamoth but the Seatruck is an amazing fusion of the two that allows a reasonable amount of customization and maneuverability.

As mentioned before I'm terrified of underwater games, and don't like timed ♥♥♥♥. But this game changed my entire outlook.

If you're on the fence about this game. Don't be. It's amazing. Even better if you've played the first one.

I bought this with the intention and hope of updates to allow more customization options... it's been months with no update after it came out and all the DLC is priced super high with just different scenes. Dead in the water. Do not buy.

I'll change this review if anything actually changes.

Still playing. But I'm enjoying it massively. Will edit in proper review when I get more hours into it but I wanted to show my support for the team. It's bomb.
