I like this better as an ARPG rather than an MMO. Then again I always like games that transition from MMO to coop.

The stylized graphics are really pretty, the combat is weighty and fluid, and the progression is satisfying. The game is almost reminiscent of a hack and slash borderlands. This has all the makings of a great title and I hope it receives the support and attention it deserves. I'd like to see more from this title and am excited to see what the community does with it when mod support is added.

Sonic Team really cooked with this one.

This feels like the Sonic equivalent to Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Its a really good Sonic game ported for modern hardware meaning a few graphical improvements and quality of life additions. Then there's the expansion Shadow Generations, which like Bowser's Fury, absolutely slaps. I must say this is probably the best any modern 3D sonic game has felt.

The levels are also very well designed with multiple paths and collectibles to find. I think there may have only been one level that fell into the linear Sonic Forces rabbit hole and coincidentally it was a Sonic Forces level. The music and SFX ooze nostalgia. It really made me realize that the shadow levels were some of my favorite from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

Progression and the introduction of new powers came at a steady rate and stopped Shadow Generations from ever feeling stale or like it overstayed it's welcome.

After 5 quality hours I finished the main story to Shadow Generations but I still have a lot left to 100% as well as an post-game mode that is available. Overall, I am very pleased with the Shadow Generations portion of this and look forward to achieving 100% and replaying Sonic Generations. I would gladly pay for more Sonic content like this, Great work Sonic Team!!!

Games like these are a breath of fresh air in a market full of bloated RPGs and live service hells. It's a short whimsical collectathon style game, think Untitled Goose Game or something like Goat Sim. I just unlocked 100% achievements and steam says I played 5.6 hours which seems about right. It was fun through and through and I'd definitely recommend it.

Loving this soulslike so far. It feels like the perfect soulslike if you loved dark souls 2 or 3, lord of the rings, blasphemous, and maybe some stranger things with all the umbral stuff. So far the combat is pretty satisfying, I'm playing 2H melee focused so its a bit slow but chaining combos is really smooth. Performance isn't terrible but I do get some dips and stutters in some areas. Performance is much better than what elden ring launched with I had terrible stutters on launch with that and there was no native 21:9 ratio support like this game has. I'm getting around 70-84 fps on average with some dips into the upper 50s when loading new areas, I'm on a 3080.

Overall, This reboot of Lords of the Fallen is much better and I feel like it really holds true to the soulslike genre with the world and art style being much more interesting to me than dark souls even. If your on a lower end rig maybe give it some time to get some performance patches but otherwise I'm loving what I see.

I played on pre-release and the game is good. The foundation is amazing and I think in the long run this game can eventually surpass Payday 2. If your expecting a plethora of content out the gate though it's no where near what the last game currently has. Temper your expectations cause it's closer to what the other games had at launch: 8 heist, a handful of guns, and a decent amount of cosmetics for maker your heister unique. What is there is much higher quality than what released when Payday 2 launched so as long as the game is properly supported it will surpass it's predecessor.

Currently as I write this review, However, it is day 3 since the Official launch and nobody can matchmake. This launch is an absolute blunder and with all the technical test, marketing, and rewards they received they should have been better prepared. Outside of some tweets saying we have issues or the issues are resolved there is no explanation or transparency on why these issues are occurring and how long they may take to be resolved.

I will re-review this game once the launch issues are resolved but for now I absolutely cannot recommend the game as it is literally unplayable. Give it a month or so and check back cause I do think this game can be great and it's already a ton of fun when it works.

EDIT: After the abysmal launch most of the server issues seem to be resolved. The underlying foundation for Payday 3 is great and I'm excited to see what it will turn into, but for now it's rather light on content so you could stand to wait if you're looking for something as content rich as Payday 2.

EDIT 2: My opinions of the game have become more negative. After almost a year since release there's been only 2 "major" updates which don't seem very major, the lack of content is real. The game is also very unstable, I constantly am getting random crashes and have had a few heists where I was basically at the finish line and crashed. I'm just a bit disappointed, the foundation of Payday 3's gameplay is great! I love it more than base Payday 2 but this feels like a dead live service game with a lack of content and a waste of time due to inevitable crashing mid heist. Your better off spending your money on something else until this game get's fixed.

If you are already familiar with Bethesda Game Studios titles then you should know what to expect here. This game basically plays like Fallout in Space with a little Skyrim sprinkled in. Like previous BGS titles it also comes with some issues as you would expect. I have had no crashes but occasionally catch companions getting stuck on objects and objects like Weapon Racks not working correctly. The gunplay is much improved from Fallout and movement is definitely much more snappy. The art style of the game is very unique and I feel like it's NASA-punk style is something we don't really see much in space games. Space combat and Zero-G fights were also an absolute treat, I found that being able to disable and board enemy vessels is something I've really wanted from Space RPGs.

I've seen a lot of criticisms recently and there some that are very valid like the bugs and barren planets but the game does tell you what planets are barren before you land. There are also a lot of criticisms coming from people who I think have had bloated expectations for what this game would be. This game is not a space sim and could be called passable as a space sandbox. Starfield is a narrative focused space RPG with sandbox elements and to focus on delivering that it's understandable that bloated mechanics that vastly expand the scope would not be prioritized, I am referring to seamless planetary transitions and atmospheric flight. There are a lot of load screens and there's some areas where it seems excessive like for stores in a settlement putting the game on an SSD helps with this but some of the small shops should have been combined without the load screen.

Overall, My experience hasn't been super buggy compared to previous BGS titles. I find the world engaging and the game-play enjoyable. I'm enjoying my time with it and excited to dive further in.

An absolutely stunning experience that has become a contender for my favorite game of all time. Do not look to much into this game because it is one of those type of games that you can only truly play once. It's about the sense of exploration and figuring out where you are, why you are, and what you can do about it. Once you learn how to beat the game you know and unless you develop amnesia (in this case I'd call you lucky) you'll be doomed to forcing your friends to play and watch them as you live vicariously through them playing this gem again.

Early Access Review
There's a reason we are getting a wave of ghost hunting games now and it's all thanks to phas. This game is full of unique ideas and near endless replayability. It's that good game to just default to when you don't know what to play.
