The games graphic and music sets an amazing atmosphere, cute but still creepy when it needs to be. Gameplay is really smooth, not too much talking to be a visual novel and there's plenty of ways to experience the lore of this game.

The only let down was the longevity of my actions, I didn't feel like there was any good long term changes besides getting an extra line of dialogue or getting locked out of places when you cross a line unknowingly and now you can't go back to do what you wanted to do.

I'm pretty sure I have over 500 hours in this game at this point, playing every day since release and as a F2P I could get into top100 rankings on my servers so I think I'm doing good.

This games premise and it's core is good, it's satisfying when it works, but oh boi does it NOT work majority of times.

First of all, if you decide to start playing after launch, be ready to for an absolutely awful experience. Always weak, not able to do most of coop because nobody plays it and you can't solo carry it, the only catch up mechanic for new players is getting 500% more EXP, sounds great, doesn't it? Only if levels gave meaningful power, they are only there as gate for content that you have to do to gain power and as a new player, you won't be able to do this content when you unlock it because you gain levels way too fast and not actual power. Oh and I was even holding the worst about levels untill now, enemies strenght scales with your level, so leveling up fast means the enemies get stronger than you because they are getting so much more stats with each level than you.
If you want to somehow catch up to current players, you need to get carried everyday and also spend, I don't believe there's any other way.

But how does my experience look like so far and what can you expect if you somehow catch up?
Bugs. I saw bugs, more bugs and again bugs (for clarification, a bug for me is anything that doesn't seem to work properly)
Graphic bugs, hitbox bugs on every weapon, mobs with junky hitboxes and the worst in PVP where melee weapons can hit you while you fly 20 meters above them (Meryl spin), bosses that can only count as one giant bug (Interdimensional Dragon), the most annoying bug so far that I'm pretty sure is still not fixed and is happening for the last 2 weeks is players that want to join an instance in a 4 player dungeon or 8 player raid just randomly get disconnect and are not able to connect for half an hour, some had it good and only got disconnected a couple of times in a week, some players say they get disconnected over 5 times a day.
The gameplay was never challenging so far, it looks like the devs idea of challenge or harder difficulty is giving mobs 3 times more health, boom it's hard now, go and fight that timer after which you fail. Atleast it does seem to change now with the new big expansion (except for a big flying whale that you can't target with 99% of weapons, impossible to do when you are not maxing that weapon or abusing bugs).

Okay since I started this by stating I'm doing good as a F2P, people reading this for sure wonder how it looks in terms of balance, resources, materials and the most important thing, getting the waifus.
I have higher standards than a typical casual, if you want to feel strong in this game as a F2P, be ready to give away your life, your soul, your friendships, your grass touching, all that for the grind. I have not played Genshin, but my friend tells me it's 1 hour at most and you are done with dailies, If anyone cares how does my day look if I do it mostly optimally (note I have bad PC so long loading screens): 4 daily missions taking me around 25 minutes for all, minigames in Aesperia another 15 minutes, 3-4 JO runs (4 player dungeons) each around 25 minutes counting in queue times (if you don't fail any of them), 15 minutes for mini games in Mirroria, 6 Grayspace exploration (limited daily exploration) each taking me over 10 minutes to get to and make, in total over 3 and a half hours. This is only dailies not counting in things that you can do whenever during the week like raids, bygone, wormhole, frontier clash, void rifts and the most time sucking world exploration.
All of that and this games does feel like it's F2P friendly. But don't get me wrong, P2Ws are still much stronger than you and you won't be able to get every single limited character no matter what. I'm not a gacha player and this games predatory system sickens me, I can't believe how people are able to spend 150 dollars on a RNG slot machine to get a single or maybe 2 cosmetic items, getting a single limited character with just money and in time would be around 150 dollars as well. I get that games have to make money, but atleast in my opinion this is just too expensive for really basic stuff, not even something extraordinery.

I have one good thing to say, devs atleast try to make the game more balanced and more player friendly (except for the real money prices) on global compared to Chinese servers. For example limited characters are weaker making standard characters fall out less, the new gear is universal instead of one for each element making it easier to get a good one (so getting a flame engine with frost attack doesn't happen, you only need to get the right elemental attack once).

I'm not good at reviews so I'm wrap this up with this:
I hope this game becomes better, I like to play it, but there's a ♥♥♥♥ ton of problems I can't ignore and the game is completely unpolished in many aspects.
