The game has potential, as of now (the writing of this post) it is not running.

By that I mean, you spend most of your time in a queue of over 200k other players spread across 19 servers in the EU and 22 in the US with the US alone having over 24% of its total player population stuck in the queue. You automatically accumulate hours played just by sitting in the queue, thus forgoing any chance of getting any sort of refunds for in game items or packs purchased, all of which have a "claim timer" in which they must be redeemed within a certain time-frame or they EXPIRE. Yes, the item pack you buy, with money, that you CANNOT REDEEM because you cannot log into the server TO REDEEM IT expires after a few days.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Do not even get me started on all the fake accounts being used with backdoor API access in order to jam up the queue, or those who are selling accounts in global chat, or items, or goods and services. It took WoW years to see that kind of bot spam, it took this game a matter of days.


As of now, I cannot recommend this game due to the ongoing server issues (Which is solely amazons fault, as they are the host and publisher of the game [which is ironic considering Amazon is the worlds largest server provider yet they cant even allocate for devops to their games they sponsor]).

I will say on a positive note, the admins, mods and devs are VERY active on the forums and understand all of our frustrations completely. They honestly feel like they get it and are flagging posts for review to correct issues account wide for those needing extensions on purchased redeems, as well as other technical issues. Hats off to them for staying so industrious during this launch period.

Check back in a month or so when the game is at least playable.

Requires an Xbox Live accounts and its associations of your account data to the Xbox live services in order to play coop multiplayer which as of todays date (Launch day 7/28/2020) has not been mentioned ANYWHERE in the games store page, or ANY of its advertising videos.

Fun to watch on youtube, Even funner dumping 30 hours into a single city of 20k people and always finding that 1 sidewalk that just "isnt right".

From Classic to Mainstream, Counter Strike is just one of those games that will be legendary for decades.

So far my experience has been
>Rewatch amazing closed beta footage and cinimatics on youtube while waiting to download through steam.
>wait to update through launcher
>spend an hour almost creating my character and f*cking with my settings to get the best quality possible
>Immediately assaulted by chinese people
>Like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ millions of them

10/10 cant wait to Deus Vult.
