Hello, Neighbor. A game that seemed so promising, but turned into a disappointing glitchy and boring game. looking back at previous builds such as Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 and the Pre-Alpha i can see a noticeable SEVERE drop in quality starting with the fourth alpha. My question is where did it all go wrong? I have been a supporter since the Alpha 1 phase of the game.

==The A.I==
The neighbor's A.I was described to be very advanced and have three modes, Idle, Attack, and Hunt. In the full game idle mode seems VERY rare and the neighbor hardly does anything described back in Pre-Alpha times. In the Alpha 1 and Pre-Alpha the A.I would legitimately learn from your moves, checking hiding spots for you, setting up cameras and boarding up windows, while here it seems all he does is patrol nonstop like a paranoid person, spam traps and cameras in ONE spot usually, and camp. Seriously what went wrong with the A.I? It was so good and did a ton of what was advertised in the Pre-Alpha and Alpha 1. And even Alpha 2 to an extent. It can even see through walls at points now,

==The physics==
The physics in the full game are extremely wonky. Sometimes ltierally just standing on a box will send you flying super high into the air at an alarming speed, causing you to die on impact, items can glitch out and phase through the floor which can be SUPER annoying, and this takes away from the enjoyable experience that the devs aimed for. The physics in even alpha 2 were better than this.

==The way the story is told==
The way the story is told is through cryptic snippets which is a pretty good idea, but this is executed SUPER poorly, it's almost as if the game ENCOURAGES the player to get caught to see these, as there is no other way, you're supposed to escape and not be caught, using strategies and sneaking to beat the game. In the final product you literally can just run in, throw something at him and knock him over, and just beat it without having to use stealth.

==The puzzles==
Okay, a lot of puzzles are hinted at very poorly, or not hinted at all. a lot of the time you have to look up walkthroughs, wheres the fun in that? Puzzles were executed VERY well back in Alpha 1 and 2 stages, along with alpha 3 to an extent. Now they're so unrealistic and not even fun to do them.

==The Fear levels==
Glitchiest, most frustrating minigames ive seen in my life. Fear school is near impossible and will take you MANY MANY tries even up to 30 minutes to beat it. the teacher mannequin ai is so horrid and it CAMPS your locker 90% of the time, fear_darkness has very buggy physics, and fear_supermarket is alright, but sometimes itll mark your thing wrong when you get it right
==The "Horror"==
Okay, I am sorry but the prototype-alpha 3 literally look so much better. The Prototype-Alpha 1.5 had a realistic feel and a very well done atmosphere. It made you feel trapped in a dangerous persons home, and it was legitimately scary until Alpha 4 brought the atmosphere as a side focus.

If you have read this far, this is my honest opinion on hello neighbor. I was very disappointed, especially seeing what was advertised for the initial kickstarter. at least the soundtrack and cutscenes are done very nicely. In total I would have to give hello neighbor a 4.8/10
