Amazing game.
Amazingly priced.
I bought through itch before this came out on steam and ended up buying it here too.

They've now added multiplayer too.

Thoroughly recommend buying this game!

Base game is boring and slow.
Game could've been saved by the freeplay mode but...
Plays a 1 min, unskippable interruption of the characters story when you find them in all 10 ticks
(which then happens for all characters)

AND

After wasting about 30minutes looking for the final character in the final zone, I gave up and searched the answer... turns out unless I'd completed some prerequisite, he literally wasn't there (Ali in tick 2)

Absolute joke, if I would've paid full price for this I would've felt scammed.

But I got it with 75% off so I'll let the dev keep the money in the hopes they can make a better game.

(Yes I'm salty after wasting time when the final thing I needed wasn't even on the bloody map. Now I don't even want to try the other freeplay maps incase there's the same bs)

It's like Talos Principle 1... but 2... and better.

I'll keep it simple,

If you like puzzles. Buy the game.

If I pretend portal doesn't exist. TP1 is probably my favourite puzzle game of all time.

This seems to be better than TP1. (Only 3.5 hours played so far but it's looking real good)

###

Okay +30 hours of playing. The game is phenomenal, I feel like they could've charged more for the game and yet it sits at the current price point of £25. Anyone who enjoys puzzles really should pick this up, the puzzles that are introducing mechanics are somewhat easy but they soon build up in difficulty.

Anyone who wants ever more of a challenge can do the Sphinx challenges and actually spend a while visiting all chambers to build a solution for them.

Okay yeah, game is dead for me. The Cutting Shot change (update 1.1.14) has officially killed it.

Level 124 with 188 hours played.

Double barrel build is now ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
SP Model 11 build is now ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
AK build is now ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (no longer 1 shots the head)
Magnum build is now ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (also no longer 1shots the head)

Revert this change if you actually care about people having fun with the game:
Moved the ‘Cutting Shot’ (Sharpshooter) armor penetration to ‘High Grain’ (Ammo Specialist), making it a timed bonus for using an Ammo Bag. If multiple players have ‘High Grain’ equipped, the skill awards bonus damage in addition to the base armor penetration.

I'm actually at the point of thinking the company is killing the game on purpose. Maybe to save money on server costs? IDFK. But this single change is enough for me to quit xdd

My previous (positive review):
PLEASE ADD AN OFFLINE MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PROS:
It's more payday. Had a blast going run 'n' gun mode with friends

Checking challenges to see which weapons have a near completion one swaps up which weapon you use which is fun

CONS:
The attachment all seem garbage.

It randomly swapped to CStacks for final attachment. I'd bought it before realising. (My mate did this too, bit sus design tbh)

Always online server issues. (If anyone is wondering, the game had 86% positive reviews before early access ended and the servers dropped, causing mass negative reviews as people couldn't play. The 86% is also likely biased since people who paid more for early access are more likely to be fans of payday)

Lots of challenges but no search option

Pricing of ingame weapons that come with attachments is insane. (It would help level up base weapon to choose attachments) 20mill for a premade weapon!?!? or 500Cstacks for another!?!?!?

End points:
I expect with the weapon pricing, they may introduce the ability to just buy with cash. Else why is the pricing so bad?
If you stealth you get 0xp, only money, no weapon XP, no nothing.
If C stacks become something you can buy. With this pricing that would be kinda trash.

I will add that this review is incomplete, it's something I quickly started in notepad but figured it's better than my previous review :^)

I completed this with 91minutes playtime however I only paid £1.35 (game with -20% discount) so it was definitely worth that.
Very unique idea to take RE4's inventory system and build a game from it. The puzzle aspect of the game is somewhat shallow (though does feature slightly more than just try fit items into the squares, due to certain items requiring the correct order of usage/correct rotation) but still makes for an enjoyable game when the price point is considered!

Mouse support would be nice although once you get used to the keyboard controls it's not the end of the world. Only problem is the levels which have so much stuff in the inventory, that you have to spend a minute moving things to storage (These levels are where the lack of mouse does become a bit annoying) However I don't find either of these detract /too/ much from the game. Just a slight annoyance that the dev can probably fix either through mouse usage or maybe starting all items in storage.

Good game. the framerate drops are jarring which is my biggest complaint. But the world is just insanely big so time to review positive! Buy if you love being able to explore a huge world whilst under the difficulty enforcement of souls games.

I've been gaming for easily 15+ years and this game was an incredible experience.

I'd normally write more in a review but I'd prefer to simply say: buy the game!

I haven't played SMB in years and read the reviews prior to buying which stated it was an autorunner (alongside it being mentioned on the steam page)
Game uses 2 keys which are jump/slide. However jump can be held for different heights/distances and can be clicked again to punch/dash forward. Combined with enemies which reset the dash and other mechanics the game has a lot of depth to it from a very simple premise.

It seems that many reviewers were expecting a SMB sequel (which is fair enough, it seems like naming it SMB might not have been the best move) or didn't play enough to actually experience the depth that it gets into after introducing mechanics one by one.

All in all I was happy with the game (which I bought at 50% off) and would very much recommend it!
