this game is amazing if you have band of 5+ people to play it with. its ok if you only have 4.

This game immersive entertaining & challenging and if you like DnD your love it. the game has BIG pros and a Few big cons. let me start with the pros.
The world is amazing and nearly every action you do will affect you later on, for better or worse depending on what you do or who you side with. the characters are grate, your main traveling companions are amazing the voice acting the lil bit there is, is spot on.
The Combat is amazing the first 50% of the game the later half ♥♥♥♥ gets crazy, and unless you truly understand game mechanics your gonna have an iffy time. There are a crap ton of endings depending on what you do. the kingdom management while some don't like it, i loved. I do recommend lowering the kingdom difficulty to make a lil bit more fun and avoid some cray cray moments.

CONS
1-The first 50% of the game is AMAZING the later 50% while it has its high points is not as griping sadly.
2- THE GAME HAS MAD DIFFICULTY SPIKES. these spikes tend to be intertwined with the story so you know there coming. but they are still difficult, even on normal the game can get silly hard at some points. feel no shame lowering the difficulty
(last chapter is brutal)
3-this is a gripe about one spot in the game and it has to do with the deep games mechanics linked to its old pen & paper roots. but you will get to a point half way threw the game where unless you are lucky or have high perception skills on one of your party members you will not be able to find a tomb you need to progress the main story. the game does a ♥♥♥♥ job explaining what you need to do to find it.
4-bugs are sadly a thing keep a save before every major quest so u can roll back to fix them. always shut off the game and reboot whenever you see a bug that fix it. in my over 170+ i've seen 7. 2 major ones. one that was a crash that took a lil bit of fixing, the other forced me too roll back 2 hours of gameplay

I really recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's if you like RPGs you will love this. I would also recommend this to anyone who likes DnD. This game is really unique and fun. it has its vexing quirks but the good here by far outshines the bad.
worth full price. whenever on sale grab it.

im a fan. ive had this game since....2013 did not play it much at all untill just now. But something about the new patch got my freinds to play. I joined them, fulling thinking id feel meh about the game like i did before and only joined to chill with my buddys. Turn out its really fun now. me and 5 other mate have dropped every other game to play this. its a riot

Now there are a few odd things about the game. For exsample the hiy boxes are weird. you cant make glass, that is key for staying alive. an there are many lil things, that make you go wait what? like when cooking food if you need a jar of water you lose the whole jar! not just the water inside! but its mostly silly things like that. ive only bumped into....one major bug and that was fixed with a simple logout log back in.

Ymir is a hard game to give a run down for. But ill do my best with a short summery, followed by a longer summery.
SHORT SUMMERY--- Combine Civilization an a medieval city builder, and you got Ymir. its a 90% online game the Single player AI has yet to be put in-game so you need to join "lobbys" to get the real fun stuff out of this game. Online play works 2 ways. Real time game that are MUCH faster passed and are only available when the host is on (much more fun in my opinion) you can find a few streamers who do it at set time on twitch and on this games discord. Then we have persistent servers, That are on 24/7 but are slowed down and actions take time so all can play, even if you have a full time job. (still fun tho) There is a down side tho servers tend to be..............iffy, when they first go live. don't be surprised when you join a server for it to crash and you lose your first 20 mins.

LONGER VERSION---The game feels rewarding when you go from a small band of 50 pig people too a city of a 1000+ to even a few citys and towns and farming/mining communities threw out your lands. it feels good knowing that was all you and u bloody held it!
its peaceful game to play yet has depth, unless a invasion is on its way or a big player war is brewing rarely will you feel rushed. yet there still a lot to think about and do. but you can take it at your own pace.
the city management is fun there is a ton of resources that you will need to make your city bigger and better, so you will need to make some farming/mining communities. Or to trade with fellow players.
One thing that will dive you nuts at times it how tech works in this game. there is no tech tree its more like your pig people just have ideas based on your surroundings and bring them to you and say 'hay i found this cool thing! i think we could use this! or do this to make life better for us.' then you as the ruler decide if its worth putting time resources and...pigs into getting it to work. it is a ♥♥♥♥♥ at times to get certain techs, but it also makes the game funny. Trying to find ways of getting by or using hole different tools to solve a problem.
Also this is not a Solo game when online YOU NEED BUDDYS or at least we agree to not stab each other deals. if you go 100% solo you will sooner or later die. politics are huge in this game. an can make or break your empire. it is HIGHLY recommended you join the Ymir discord so you can join the server chat rooms to talk to your neighbors.
Lastly......the bugs oddly you will find nearly none in game. just a few clipping moments and that's it. the main bugs are the server lists. Steam and Ymir dont like one another it seems so it wont show some servers all the time. this is being actively fixed however, and a easy work around is just using the direct IP address.

your brain will hurt, you will be confused as well but you will still enjoy it. your kingdomes will have wars and civil wars your sons and dughters will try to kill you can like-wise them. Then as you finely put your kids down with a fine beating one of your damed nobelmen decides now a good time for a revolt so u loss some of your land and then go to war....but this all pales in comparasion to the mongals o yes the mongals will come and everything will die and if eup is not ready then they will die as well and there is nuthing you can do about it. agin your brain will hurt from pankicing who is loyal and who is not whether your kids want to overthrow you. Mongol and pluges will ravange your land and that off all your enemys and allies. then confusesion will set in as your restart and try to prevent it all only to see that theres a 100 niore threts you dident see befor and this time the holy romen empire was reborn and killing everything. You will be sad for your kingdome and pissed at your advicer' but you will still love this game. So....GL
