I have played alot of games in my life and this is one of them.

It's honestly kind of what I expected. Let's be honest with ourselves, name the last good competitive multiplayer game in the RE franchise.... Yea I'll wait...

What I will give this game props for is the simplicity and the overall enjoyable gameplay loop.
Is it unbalanced? Yea
Is there a lot of content? No
Is it fun? I mean, it's not NOT fun
But matches are very short, matchmaking is simple and the action starts right away. No weird convoluted gameplay mechanics: you play human, you kill, you die, become monster, you kill, you die. Repeat, nothing more to it.

The battelpass is outright shameful though.. For the amount of content in the game the fact they included a battlepass is unforgivable. But we live in a society, what are we gonna do about it?

Overall it's fun if you have 20-30 minutes to kill and don't want to get wrapped up in a game you take more seriously.

Having 1 level that's polished would be better than 4 boring levels. Frequent crashes (I know it's early access but I need to be able to play consistently) The audio in some of the levels is also atrocious

As someone who does not have enough brain power to play chess, but enough reflexes to play shooters, it fits me perfectly.

It's different for sure. Makes you want to play XCOM 2 when you do play.

The Breach and Clear tactic stuff is pretty cool and the meta-game is ok. I really am not a fan of failing a mission if any of your squad dies, instead of just living with the consequences like traditional XCOM systems. It's definitely not as challenging because of this too so keep in mind if you are looking to start dipping your toes in the genre this may be a good start.

The worst part is really the voice acting. It's cringe on a new scale and I would prefer if they didn't talk... like ever. Not because of the "woke" stuff everyone seems to be talking about, the actual written dialogue and the delivery is just bad.

Not bad, but not great. An overall forgettable experience but an ok buy if it's on sale.

Don't be deceived by the playtime. I had this game on PS3 and 360. I think it's a serious contender for my favorite game. A lot of very morally gray choices so you don't always feel like you're "good" or "bad". More like you choose the lesser of two evils. Or the greater of two evils if you're a sociopath
