I love ETS2, and the fact that it is still being supported and updates/DLC released for it. Started off playing with just a mouse and keyboard, and have progressed to wheel and pedals, though I do still like going back to mouse and keyboard now and then for the nostalgia. Highly recommended, even if you just pick up the base game on sale and try it out. Don't be put off thinking you need a full simulator set up, you can have just as much fun with a mouse and keyboard or a controller.
