Went up to a random open outpost after hitting an orange thing and it turning out to be iron.
Made full iron armor at the outpost.
Guy comes up and asks if he can use the outpost to make iron.
I say yes.
He shows me how to get leather by beating off dead sheep.
We agree to take the throne together.
As he is beating a dead sheep, I tie him up.
I drag him to a large set of gallows and tell him he is being charged with treason and conspiracy against the crown- the sentence is death.
The gallows are locked.
I drag him to the castle to offer him as a sacrifice to the king.
The king isn't there.
I get angry.
I let him go.
Another guy comes up to us.
I tie him up, too.
He told me he would build seige weapons to help get into the castle.
I let him go as well.
They call me their king and worked hard for me to take the thrown.
I now control server "V".

10/10 would kidnap loyal subjects again.

Very poorly done game. Feels like a rip off of Log Horizon with guns except it is just awfully put together. The idea of it itself is just awful. You start out, you need to make money for food and water, right? To do that, you need to go outside the city. When you get outside the city, you get ambushed by monsters you have no hope of killing, and other players who have guns when you do not. So just to survive, you are forced to go somewhere where you have no hope of surviving. Then you lose what little you have and, unless you find a very generous player, you have no chance of advancing at all.

The game itself is good, the multiplayer is difficult to get used to but it is insane. The only real problem with it is that the people who run the servers are all 13 year olds who have these little things called "server rules" which usually pertain to "if you run someone over, SERVER BAN. If you kill someone outside a red circle, SERVER BAN. If you do anything fun that can make another person mad, SERVER BAN." In other words, this is NOT DayZ where you could torture people. HOWEVER- highly enjoyable game.

My first time playing this game, I found a crowbar then logged out, logged back in near the beach. A man typed asking me if I was heading to the city. I said yes. He then went behind me and started punching me. I hit back and knocked him out and tried to steal his shirt but ended up trading shirts with him. I now had a red shirt and he was wearing MY black one. But then he woke up (it was only a couple seconds) and started running away. I chased him and as he saw another fresh spawn running towards us from the direction we were heading, he typed "RED GUY!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!" as the other fresh spawn was wearing a red shirt. The freshy just ran right past us. I then lost the one wearing my black shirt as I was dizzy from breathlessness in real life from laughing too much at his comment. For some reason, him shouting for help made me laugh so hard!

At first, I didn't know how to play. It was a little boring because as I struggled to survive the hunger and thirst alone, I was also lost and couldn't find other players (which is sometimes very lucky) and to be honest, without human interaction from an in real life friend or just friendly people you meet on the game, it is really boring to tears as you just aimlessly wonder around and pointlessly collect supplies that serve no purpose- unless you plan on playing with other people. In other words, play with others or you wont want to play at all. However, after learning the basic functions and how easy it really is to survive, you soon learn that the REAL point of the game (until they add the zombie hordes that force players to work together to survive) is to get a gun as fast as possible and protect yourself from other players called "bandits".

Now being a bandit that goes around killing other players may sound bad and annoying but believe me, being a sadist in this game makes for some of the most hilarious encounters the internet has ever seen. After sucessfully handcuffing someone, you can raid their supplies, strip them, force feed them (usually rotten food to make them sick), poison them buy spraying disinfectant spray in their mouths, dress them as you see fit, inject them with things, or get handcuff keys and let them go.
But that usually is done after you BREAK THEIR LEGS so the only way they can move is by crawling around with the only way to fix their leg is by combining rags and sticks to make a splint, and since finding a stick is (somehow) very difficult, they are not likely to survive.

Now the dynamics of this game are surprisingly focused on realism. It is likely that 1-2 shots with any gun will kill you, if you shoot someone's backpack you risk damaging their supplies, bleeding out can kill you if you don't stop the bleeding with bandages/rags, you can get sick and you will need medicine, ect.

You can also get knocked out and not wake for several minutes (it used to be seconds) by being punched in the head repeatedly, or hit with a shovel- and you can be revived from passing out from hunger/bloodloss with a saline bag or defibulator from a very generous other player.

The guns are somewhat limited in variety, but remember this is an alpha.

Overall, this game is perfect when you can talk to other players. It gets real weird with them. You never know what is going to happen.

For example- I do a pretty decent Morgan Freeman. I saw other players on a roof after I heard gunshots. As I climbed the ladder I overheard the one with the Mosin (sniper) that he was out of bullets. So I called out to them (as Morgan Freeman) and they were very friendly. They gave me the gun! We then saw 2 other players heading up the ladder (with guns) so I jumped to the tall maintanence tower from the roof and climbed down that ladder and started to run to the ladder they were heading up to get to them. All I could hear was "Where did Morgan go?? Did he fall off?!?!?!" I manage to get up the ladder and no one, not the new guys or my new friends, were there. They went down a side ladder. Then they started going back up the building so I took the same root down and they followed me. I went back to the main ladder and there was a guy with an M4 standing there. I turn around and here comes 5 people! Turns out no one had any ammo for the guns they had! BUT someone gave me this INSANE looking pistol, a designer M1911 autographed pistol, which was just so cool looking! Then someone gave me ammo for the Mosin! Such nice people. Then this annoying kid, one of the two people who were originally on the roof (but not the one who gave me the gun) started saying "MORGAN! YOUR WIFE IS COMING! SHE'LL BE HERE ANY MINUTE!!!" As I have never shot anyone in the game before, I really, REALLY wanted to. So I told everyone (as Morgan Freeman) that the kid was a bandit spy trying to kill us and that we had to kill him! (When Morgan Freeman tells you something, you listen. Period.) So everyone backed up and I shot him to death. We looted him and felt proud that Morgan Freeman saved the day from the evil forces of the decepticons.
Anyway, we then hear this female from the distance shouting "MORGAN FREEMAN!!!!" As she approaches she says she is my wife. What the hell? So I tell her that Morgan Freeman wants a blow job and she kneeled down. I took aim and shot her in the head. Not a second later, I was sniped in the head! I heard multiple shots from my dead body and from all the screaming I knew a group of Bandits had followed the girl to us. Amazingly, my joke excuse to kill the annoying kid turned out to be TRUE!!!!

In DayZ, ANYTHING can happen. ANYTHING. Do not underestimate this game, you may just have an experience so amazing, you wish you recorded it because no one would ever believe it happened.

18/10 I know it doesn't work like that but I like the number 8 and a perfect score just isn't enough to describe this beta. GET IT AND PLAY! OVER 2 MILLION OTHERS ALREADY HAVE IN JUST 4 MONTHS!
