I have been following this series since early on with the first game and with Below Zero I decided to purchase it at the start to support their development and wait until they released the game fully before playing it. Like with the first game I had the same thrill of being in an unknown world where anything could be hiding in the depths below you, this game will take you on an adventure through its story and just like the first game it's not pushing you through it will only give you some hints to where you should go and mostly leave you alone to explore the world as you chose, and sometimes you might find things relevant to the story all on your own which makes you feel a lot more emersed in the world and its story. You still have the abilities to build your own bases and ships and they have new structures which makes the building aspect of the game a lot more fun. The actic setting of this game is really well done with the astetic and new chalanges to staying above water for too long. Over all this a good follow up to the first game.

My experience with this game has been positive, for reference though I have a powerful rig so I did not have issues running the game and I experienced very few of the game-breaking bugs which I know others did, now that you know this let me continue.

This is a game that I think people have to a degree overhyped, but saying that there are a few things which I found the game to fall short on. But in terms of playing the game I enjoyed the story and found the side quests to be very engaging and at times even more so than the actual main story the game allows you to get close to the characters and after I completed the main story (I selected one of the "bad" endings) I was left with a feeling I can't quite explane but it's unique to anything any other game has done before and it engaged me to keep playing after and try out the different sorries and different backgrounds which is where I found the game to be less than I expected since the background you chose only changes your starting mission and gives you some background unique dialogue which doesn't seem to give you different outcomes for your conversations. But this is the only bad things I have to say about the game since I loved everything else about the game and I can not wait for CDPR to release the DLC's for this game.

Early Access Review
I want to get the fact right I have played this game a lot and loved it. but there are some fundamental problems which are what makes me not recommend anyone to buy this game ever. I started to play when the game was released and I and my friends played this game for weeks straight, back then and there was a lot of grinding to build stuff such as ships and bases. we stopped playing the game because of the game balance at the time since the fact is one guy with oil jars and fire arrows could sink all our and our allies ships overnight when everyone was sleeping (50+ hours or grinding). We came back to the game a few years later to try it out and we had a lot of fun playing the game again since the changes made it so we could log off at night not worrying about our stuff being destroyed. We ended up joining one of the larger groups playing at the time which was fun since we were able to engage in more PVP and there was less to worry about since strength in numbers. We were in several larges companies, but in the last one we was in, it turned out there was a few amongst the 150+ players in the group was using exploits, and the developers decided the most logical thing to do was ban everyone who had been in the company within the last few weeks because of these guys, I tied to reach out to the developers about this ban but, I received no response from them about it. (For the record I had only been in the group for 1-2 days before the ban) And from what I have heard from guys who still play the game, recent changes have made the game worse and less engaging for those who want to do PVP. If you want to play this game and be able to succeed you need to dedicate almost all of your time to the game otherwise you will fall behind. If this review still has not persuaded you from playing the game I would recommend looking for a good unofficial server since the official ones are not worth your time.

Subnautica is one of the most suspenseful full games I have played in the last few years. The game has a fun and engaging story which takes you through the different parts of the world, but instead of holding your hand, it nudges you to go and allows you to explore and discover autonomously from the story. The music in the game gives it so much, being down in the deep, not knowing what's around you whilst you have the suspenseful music playing always keeping you on edge. I would not necessarily describe the game as a horror game but it's a very tense game always ready to surprise you.

I have had this game for almost 6 years now, and I loved playing the game when i first got it. It's been fun to get back to the game now and then and seeing the game evolve from being purely asteroids and a physics issues which made you question life, to being a well-refined game with physics which are amazing in comprising. Multiplayer is where the game shines through since you and your friends can all work together and create amazing ships and stations, wage war against others or trade if you want to. Overall my thoughts about the game today are positive and I love heading into space and seeing where it takes me.
