I played around this game and I was genuinely surprised and scared on my first playthrough, its atmosphere and soundtrack befits the Indonesian folklore.

The graphics were good enough for an indie developer though imo it still looks outdated compared to the standard but it fits with the atmosphere of the game

My main issue with this game is how it was played out (gameplay), certain events are scripted toward a certain action which means the replayability value goes down the drain; If you memorize what action triggers which event it's not scary at all.

And to be honest I enjoy the story, it is interesting how these tales unfolds through the notes you find. But the main issue for me is like any other game out there for me is that "Why should I?" This is true because the first chapter has 35 endings, I got the ending I wanted which is clean the house, be respectful and then sell the house (which someone actually bought)
the game hasn't given me any motivation as to unfold deeper unto the story of the first chapter because I already got what I wanted; safely and respectfully sell the house

The game will eventually be updated with the following chapters (with maybe more to come? Indonesia has a lot of folkores) but if the devs would invest more time on to the story giving reason as to "Why I should be respectful toward the dead other than just getting spooked to death" and has a more gripping story that immersed the players onto the storyline it will be good

Overall, it's only 5 bucks. It's worth it, and I would love to see this improve over time. I wish the developers the best of luck and a lot of love for staying true to the folklores of the supernatural here in Indonesia

If you're easily raged then by all means don't play this game

This is a skill based game that don't care whether you're a newcomer or a veteran.

The basic premise of this game is to get good, and I'm not saying this to insult players. It's because by losing can you better yourself in combat. Imagine dark souls, it's unforgiving; same here

My advise will be to find a community or play with a friend, and practice. The game allows you to get xp and renown just from fighting against bots that's good enough

Certain heroes seems unbalanced? Like I previously mentioned, get good; by fighting the same hero multiple times can you get used to the moveset of said heroes and learn how to overcome your own boundaries

Sure, there's some cheesy combo/attacks by certain heroes in this game, but here's the thing, you can either dodge/parry/deflect that certain cheese

Be mindful that the flaw is that it uses peer-to-peer system hence the connection will not be as good as you would expect from a fighting game like this. from disconnects to attacks that came out of nowhere.

Overall, I would still recommend this game

It astonishes me on how much the developers stick to the Alien theme throughout the whole gameplay, it felt so authentic and the graphics are amazing (even when I'm running it on normal because I stream this game and had to downgrade the visual quality).

Gameplay wise it's very tense, which is similiar to the kinds of outlast and amnesia gameplay style. It blended stratergy really well when playing in high difficulty (I personally recommend you the higher difficulty so you don't run and gun for max experience) like for an instance there's a group of hostile survivors which is really hard to stealth around and it's up to you wether to throw some of your crafted equipments away to lure some of them to a spot or throw a noisemaker to lure not just the survivor but the alien itself. Each stratergy has its own merits and that's something that sets apart this game from any other hide/run horror games in my opinion

The sound aspect of this game is not to be forgotten as well, every footstep sounds crisp to the point where you can distinguish the footstep from humans, androids, or wether its the alien's footstep. Background music adds a very high tension into the mix as well and I guess that's what made it so horrifying for me. Just wait until you hear the music it played when the alien is killing other survivors while you're hiding in a locker a few feet away

I haven't encountered any bugs or glitches that's particulary game breaking though I've seen some hilarious ones

Overall, this is a very polished game and it's worth every penny you give onto this game. I definitely recommend this game, it's an Alien game that we the fans deserve

The graphics are outdated, people are whining about the ability to use flashlight whilst still holding a gun (which you can't do in the original version) and there's not much of a story line in this game

BUT, with those cons in mind let me remind you that this is DOOM, what'd you expect? it's all about killing demons from hell and be a badass about it and really, it's the only reason I bought it again after it's initial release back in 2004

Here's what you should know about the game, it's a survival-wave based game and that's it. there's no story proposition, character progression or anything like that. get in a server or play solo and shoot zeds up and that's it. I find it odd for a game with a very simplystic core gameplay to be very fun, the weapon animations are beautifully well done compared to other fps games and the enemies are more sinister compared to KF1.

Overall, it's definitely a step forward on this franchise and the devs seems to really care about it's community unlike that game where you heist banks and stuffs ( cough* payday2 cough*). I definitely recommend this game altough it's still on early-access but don't let that fool you, I haven't encountered any bugs or glitches at all with the official map and until now no micro-transactions or DLC that you need to buy at all.

10/10 would cover volter's dead corpse with dosh again

I've read/played this and although I only finished one story, I can safely saay that this is totally worth it and it's free. I mean that's all the more reason to it. it has lots of different endings. It has a weird artstyle if you're comparing it to anime's standards but I have nothing against it (though the scenery artworks are pretty amazing if you ask me)

the story itself kinda stands in the middle ground for me, it doesn't give me enough reason to sympathize to the protagonist that much since it's just like every other male protagonist in every VN I've ever read but I like how the story develops so there's that

All and all it's worth the time and it's worth the read :D

This game grips me from the beggining to the end. A very good plot for a detective game and provides a very solid gameplay. the only con that I can think of is the lack of focus on the action part but that's just my personal opinion coming from other action games. I'd give this an 9/10, this game is worth every penny you spent on, buy it while it's still on sale
