A direct port. Nothing improved, nothing worsened, except for higher FPS limit and increased resolutions. A recommend if you've enjoyed the game as it was, do not buy if you expected any sort of rework or improvement.

Game play variety and story line depth feels aged, but that's expected. Paired with RDR2 (whether you played it first or second) gives it more depth. Playing this after RDR2 feels a bit too go-there-shoot-that.

The key point is that I *cannot* recommend this game for the current price tag, even with the 20% discount. The game is like 15 years old now and the asking price is ridiculous.

It's a quirky game that reflects that retro difficult game charm. It does feature filmed animations and does not refrain from violent sights. These aspects combined provide quite a unique experience.
Keep in mind that it is quite mind numbing when you get stuck and, with the current gaming meta being what it is, it is quite hard to get through the game without looking up some tutorial or playthrough.
This game being so cheap (sub 2€ on sale), I don't see why a puzzle/horror/retro game fan wouldn't want to try it out.

I still hold onto my opinion that playing this with a mouse and keyboard feels like trying to maneuver a bar of soap with oily hands, but...

The detail in the world, the depth of each walking person, the absolute sheer beauty of the world is breathtaking. While this game starts slow and a bit dull, it accelerates into a world of storytelling and visuals like no other.

Unplayable. There's about a 20% chance to get stuck at any loading screen requiring a restart. Game doesn't mind crashing once or twice a day and once it just didn't pick up any controller input in the game so I had to restart the game and lose a match because of it.

This is how a remake should be done. Decent story, great visuals, nice relaxing linear storytelling, unique setting.

Although I hate that the shooting mechanics don't quite allow for precise and calculated shooting, rather a large circle as a crosshair.

Classic.

Has gameplay aspects and attention to certain details that no other games have while not being overbearing in others. Not much of an open world game, but doesn't feel as restrictive as a traditional linear story line game.

For 5€ or so, this is probably one of the best bang-for-buck games out there.

Quite a bit too many bugs for a "remake". I've played through the first edition like 3 or 4 times and never had any real issues, but playing through this edition, I've encountered like 4 annoying bugs that either confused the gameplay or required a restart, not to mention the visual bugs.

After the masterpiece that is the Mafia: Definitive Edition, this just feels sloppy and released just for the sake to have all 3 definitive editions.

The Joe bed bug is still not fixed even though it is such a simple yet crucial bug.

Ambient, atmospheric puzzle game. It is a unique, non-cheap horror game, that doesn't just jump-scare you, it makes you scare yourself. Gives vibes from Stories Untold.
