Gris is a game that is thematically about the stages of grief. You play as a character who is battling with her emotions to move past her trauma, as you traverse each stage of grief to regain colors in her world. However, as beautiful as the music and art may be the game just feels shallow. There is no dialogue, no narration, no gameplay other than basic platforming, no background behind our character. This game ultimately just reminds me a lot of a flipbook. You have no connection to the character or world. It is so overly abstract you have to dig to find any real meaning behind it, and in a game that has no gameplay to it it just feels boring.

One of the best games ever made. Amazing voice acting, interesting characters, good story, a large variety of builds, and a team that actually listens and cares about their players. Other AAA studios should start taking notes.

Cute and relaxing focus tool. My only issue with it is that we don't have the ability to adjust the timer as of right now.

Very short for the price (~6 hours for a full playthrough), but with a good variety of choices and endings. If you enjoy DBD I recommend giving it a chance for the number of references and the lore within the game.

Just watch the chronological cutscenes on youtube. 80% of your playtime is staring at people as they listen to someone else speak which you have to hunt to find the other side of, watching them sleep, and rewinding to the beginning of the clip.

I love the idea of this game, but it is unfortunately ruined by the poor execution of it.

I really enjoy tactical games, so I was excited to give this game a shot despite its poor ratings. I am just glad I bought it on sale because it is not worth your time. The graphics are so bad that they hurt to look at because of the rainbow blur around every single character. The story is unoriginal. If you have played Triangle Strategy, take the personality out of all the characters and you have this game. There is zero difficulty unless you're playing on hard, where it still feels like an easy difficulty equivalent in any other tactics game. Don't waste your time or money on this one.

House Flipper 2 is a game that tries to build and improve on its predecessor, without understanding what players really wanted to see in a sequel.

I wish there was a neutral review option for a game, because honestly that is how I feel about this game. I loved the first House Flipper and ordered this game right away. However, there are many issues in this game that hold it back from being a good successor to the original.

One of the things I hated the most in a job in the original House Flipper was the way wallpaper worked. From a realism perspective it wasn't bad, just a bit too tedious since the strips of wallpaper were so small and the animation for putting it on was so long. This was a change I was glad to see in House Flipper 2 had changed, so it now works more like laying down tiles, even though it does remove the realism aspect. I do think this could have just been changed to just holding more wallpaper at once and the strips of wallpaper being bigger in order to keep more of the realism approach. House Flipper 2 in general just lacks the realism that was present in the original game. I don't mind this change to more of a cartoonish style, though if you are looking for more of the realistic appeal the first game had you will be disappointed here. As an addition I really did enjoy, this game has more of a story aspect to it. I loved the implementation of receiving extra tasks and requests from your employer while on the job.

With all of that said, there are a few glaring issues with this game that make it hard to recommend.
- Motion sickness. I have never had an issue with it in other games, but this was a huge issue when I started this game. It was a bit better after toggling with settings (turning off motion blur and changing FOV to 75), but definitely not something I could play for extended periods of time.
- The removal of before and after images at the end of a job. This is more of a satisfaction thing. It feels rewarding to see all the changes and improvements you did when you finish
- The lack of outdoors panels. There are so few options for customizing the exterior of a house. Even the amount of interior options felt a bit lacking, but outside there were about 3 options to use
- Searching for furniture. This is an absolute pain in this game opposed to the previous entry. I really do get where the devs where coming from, but most often I ended up trying to search for items because I can't find what I am looking for in the listed categories
- Camera movement in assembly mode. This has to be by far the most frustrating implementation of camera movement I have ever seen. ctrl + left click and drag the mouse, then you let go when you finally get the camera centered where you want it and it moves over slightly again anyways to cut out the area you were just focusing on. What was wrong with using wasd to move the camera like in the first game?
- Sandbox mode isn't implemented into the main game. You can build many different houses in sandbox mode to share screenshots with friends, which is definitely cool. But this is very much just an additional feature where you get the bare minimum. It feels very similar to building in the original House Flipper as a part of the farm DLC. There is nothing extra about it. No job will ask you to build something for them in this game. Create the house, screenshot it, and then forget about it entirely. I just help but wish there was a bit more to this gamemode than there is.

I really did like House Flipper 2, I just can't help but feel a bit disappointed with it and I'd have a hard time honestly recommending this game to anyone over the first game. It is possible some of these things will change with the addition of future DLC content and updates to the game, and if that happens I will gladly change my review, but as of right now I would have to recommend waiting on this one.
