This game fried my brain

Just as good as the other Batman Arkham games but at a bigger scale.
For a game that released in 2015 it still holds up perfectly well for 2022.

The atmosphere and overall tone and how it makes you delve into Batman’s psyche is something that Rocksteady achieved pretty well.

The freeflow combat is very well polished and super fun if you master all the combos.
The amount of gadgets, challenges, puzzles, villains to catch, flying and grappling around, driving the batmobile makes this a very dynamic game with a ton of things to do.

Short but very Good.
It nails the "Show, don't tell" way of telling a story.

. You can't play this game or trade without linking an Epicfail games account.
. Your words and even letters are censored in party-chat and you can easily get banned from playing for days even months if you say the wrong thing. (Do not offend the snowflakes)
. With each update they do nothing substantial to improve the game or listen to the community, they only do partnerships with multiple brands to bring useless overpriced cosmetic items an ads right to your face. (this is why the game is free).
. They really love china.

Mirror's edge catalyst feels like a breath of fresh air like the original ME was in 2008. One of the coolest game you can get right now.

+ pros:

. Great art direction with a distinct visual personality that sets it apart from everything else that's out there.
. Fun, polished and fluid movement gameplay that accurately creates the exhilarating feel of jumping around (or falling), it becomes especially fun when you try to get 3 stars in the time trials.
. The city feels more alive than it's predecessor with better character models and a more detailed and dynamic environment.

- the not so good:

. The story-telling aspect of the game is not gonna blow you away (it's decent tho), i feel like it could have gotten more in depth into the philosophy of the runners and what they are fighting for.
. Side missions are mostly the same: running from point A to point B, it needs more puzzle based platforming parts or fighting / exploring missions.
. No option to disable Depth of Field, but luckily there's a mod for that.
. It needs better multiplayer features, maybe the ability to run and compete in real-time vs other players. (mirror's edge 3 plz)
