Its funny how I started playing this a week ago as a sort of "im curious but not sure" situation. but only started because a game I played on my phone a lot is shutting down (Being FFBE) so it was like. sure i have a open slot. trying to keep myself low on Gacha games (Arknights is one I mainly play)

BUT OK So About Reverse 1999. for me a lot of the character designs i have a hard time to be interested in but will credit what I assume is Live2D system for the character portraits? and has some lovely works for the art of the movement between them. has the same flair im used to with energy system and time gates, resource management and all. and if you played Gacha stuff before you know what to expect and being aware. Every stage gets you the resource for pulling, pulls are 180 total, can take you about 5 stages ish or so to get enough for one pull. Some events give you free 10 pulls on certain banner (Started playing when the 1st anniversary dropped so lots of gifts thrown at me)

The battle system itself is interesting and been a mix bag how I feel. I dont totally hate it, but its not grabbing me as like I enjoy it dearly. how it works is every character has 2 incantation cards and 1 ultimate built up over time of using there cards, Depending on how many you have in crew (1 to 4 but only 3 active on the field) you get a max hand of like. 7, usually I think always 1 of each character attack and one extra of someones card. you target and use what ability it is and once you select 3 you do your turn. game tells you what the enemy will do or how many they will do (so Disarm Silence Debuffs can be strategize) Now if 2 of the same card are close together, they will combine to be a Stronger ver of it, being 2 starred. and if 2 star vers combine it becomes a 3 and even more so. Some characters can add extra properties to it, like Sonetto you get for free, if you combine her attack one together, it becomes a Debuff card that damages and Disarms enemies. so ads some ideas on how you want to do things. There is a lot more detail but thats the basics.

Story so far has really been the biggest grabbing point as to why im still continue even though im not totally in love with it. Only reached Chapter 3-5 and a lot of curiosities for myself on what is going on next. with a lot of the side stories to access and work on as well (Just like how Arknights does it so im used to this system)

Being on Steam means easier access to play for most, and since my tablet and phone kinda runs the game at 30FPS and jitters a lot but still stable. playing on PC with full 60 with no issues just feels wonderful now. (i know thats a device problem then the game)

IF YOURE Someone who already is involved and plays Gacha based games, this can be up your alley with how the battle system works and story. IF you havent played them, This is one of those "Be very Wary" with how it works. Expect to do a couple missions a day or farming a day and getting off waiting for the recharge of energy. there are ways to get energy quicker but you know, spend money, monthly cards etc. but being F2P and all its one of those nature of things. I feel its a good time from my experience and more enjoyable then HoYo stuff imo. doesnt hurt to try out and see how it goes for a few days. its what ive been doing.

been 10 years almost since I was given this game from a friend and reminded of it when I heard Melody Circus from this game and bought the album it was based on. Its a very simple basic game for the price, easy to finish the main game in 20 mins but getting to full power takes some time with time attack and endless mode. But even so the scoring of the game and everything around I enjoy this game. Simple, quick, and Wonderful music from the artist overall. Would recommend if you want something basic and fun and good music to boot.
