It was 2008 when Diablo 3 was first announced. That game was widely criticized for its "cartoonish" graphics. Torchlight was made to look similar to those Diablo 3 screenshots and was released in 2009. Until Diablo 3 came out in 2012, we only had Torchlight.
This game is not a Diablo 3, Diablo 4, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, or Dungeon Siege. We do not travel to different geographies on a large map. Rather, it looks a lot like Diablo 1. There is a dungeon consisting of 35 floors, and we are progressing on these floors.
If you like Diablo 1, this will offer a very familiar taste. Offering 15-20 hours of gameplay for one character is an enjoyable experience. They have created an adventure that can be played and finished in no time.
However, instead of continue developing the game for a long time, they chose to release Torchlight 2 in 2012. That's why playing this for repetitive content may seem meaningless today.
Don't have high expectations and you will get some fun.

6: Average - Some may love and talk about it, but nothing more.

It was an enjoyable experience for those looking for puzzle games. The puzzles aren't too challenging, but they're perfect for those looking for creative, light entertainment. The story has interesting points, but it fails to deepen them enough. This leads the story to clichés. The last part of the game was unnecessarily challenging and confusing. It seemed too exaggerated to me compared to the previous difficulty levels. The end of the story was not satisfactory enough either. But the colors and enthusiasm of the level designs made me enjoy the game overall.

7: Above average - It presented what we regularly see in a different way.

Overwatch 1 was one of the last good games Blizzard made. When Overwatch 2 was announced, we were hoping for a better version of Overwatch 1. It was said that it would be especially PvE focused. The most missing things in Overwatch 1 were story and scenario modes, we were excited that we would have the opportunity to play the background lore prepared for Overwatch 1 as singleplayer campaigns and taste that world. What came out was a cheap F2P version of Overwatch 1 that was dumbed down and slain with micropurchases. They didn't care to fix Overwatch 1's balance and matchmaking issues either, even worse, they messed up the ranking system further and removed important features. Everything worth playing Overwatch 1 has been thrown away in this second game.

2: Intolerable - Bad enough to make you refund the game.

Halo 1 is a game overrated for 20 years for no other reason than it was a hyped game in consoles. And like any other overly hyped console game, people don't even care if it was a good game or not and just jump on the hyping bandwagon.
People act like we never got games like Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, DOOM 2, Half-Life, Quake, Quake II, Quake III, Hexen, Heretic, Blood, Blood II, Unreal, Unreal Tournament, System Shock, System Shock II, Deus Ex, Team Fortress Classic, Tribes, Strife, Rise of Triad, Redneck Rampage, SkyNET, Kingpin, Aliens Versus Predator, Requiem Avenging Angel, Turok, Shadow Warrior...
We had things like good gameplay, story based action, captivating soundtracks, incredible settings, beautiful sceneries, LAN parties, large mod communities, pure arena multiplayer LOOONG before Halo came to consoles.
But the Modern Game Media push this game like the "FIRST FPS GAME EVER" just because it was a console game. And just because it was a console game, people behave like all those PC Games were never happened.
Modern Game Media channels LOVE TO neglect PC gaming.
Halo 1: Terrible gameplay, terrible gun mechanics, repetitive level design, repetition of same repetitive level design, and repetition of game by backtracking from the same levels to the beginning.
But who cares, right? This game is being displayed as the pinnacle of gaming, and we are being forced to act like this.

3: Terrible - It's a pointless game even for a fan of this genre.

The game looks interesting, but it has a lot of shortcomings. There is so much that has been done without thought. We know "Git Gud" types will defend this game, after all, that's their purpose.
First of all, the game crashes on certain systems and becomes unplayable. It needs to be run in DX11 mode and set all graphics settings to the lowest. Despite this, you are constantly seeing the FPS go up and down, lots of stutters, and the game can have response problems.
Some weapons are very ineffective, Tachyomatic Carbine makes the game playable, but if you can't reach this weapon, mobs turn into bulletsponges.
Gameplay is designed to "take no damage". At the slightest touch, 25% of your health is gone and your attack bonuses get reset. The choices for different player styles are very limited, sometimes the game doesn't even provide health pickups for a long time, and then in some places it offers an unnecessary amount of health pickups.
In order to reach the end of the game, it is necessary to maximize your protection, integrity, damage abilities, but in this condition, the end of the game becomes unnecessarily easy. The game you have been playing with pain and sweat suddenly turns into an action snack. They failed to strike that balance. Although, "balance" is easily overlooked in games now, in order to deceive "git gud" players.
While the game's storytelling is interesting, they failed to tie the story anywhere. It's not worth playing all that hard. At the end of the game, we see that nothing is explained.

4: Too bad - If you are not particularly enthusiastic about this genre, don't be curious and play.

Scary. Funny. Beautiful. Terrible. Worse than good. Sometimes even gooder. But not always the goodest. Can't suggest everyone. Must play 10/10 best game EU.

10: Perfect - One of the greatest games ever made, and a classic.

The storytelling is awesome, and it is a rare sight to see this level of narrative in AAA games. Dialogues between characters can be sad and fun at the same time. Combat is not perfect, but the writing is the best part in the game. Almost like a mix between the comics and the movies, and definitely a better version of both. Way better than that Avengers game.

9: Must play - One of the best games of the year it came out.

Starts fresh, ends cliche. I liked the scanning system in this game, however the story was really boring. I had high hopes for this game, but the story seems following very similar route to many other indie games. What a twist (sarcastic smiley here).

5: Below average - It may not appeal to everyone, but there are interesting ideas from time to time.

Elden Ring was a real disappointment. It is advertised everywhere with 100/100 scores. Nowadays, everyone is playing it, everyone is praising it, and the praises won't even end on every YouTube channels and game review site. I bought it because it was called as "Skyrim + Breath of the Wild" many times. But the result is just frustration.
It is obvious that it was made without thinking about the PC. It was designed exclusively with the PS4/PS5 in mind. Gameplay mechanics and combat dynamics did not go beyond the Demon's Souls game I played in 2009. There is no such thing as "Online Co-op". Putting this game under the tag "Online Co-op" is just scam.
But hey, "who pays money gets the hype marketing".
Yahtzee actually gave the best review: "it's a FromSoftware Dark Souls game, and therefore, good."
It is just another Dark Souls game, nothing more.

5: Below average - It may not appeal to everyone, but there are interesting ideas from time to time.

Encyclopedic definition of "Corporate Game". This isn't "Marvel's Avengers", it's "Kamala Khan and her Avengers friends". The writing and storytelling are worse than garbage. They apparently tried to copy Mass Effect / The Last of Us for the "epic storytelling vibe", but it just turned into a teen drama TV series. Every famous character acts out of their role and behaves like those cliché TV show characters. The game focuses too much on making Kamala Khan "the one Muslim Girl to keep the Avengers through their dire times"... However, Kamala Khan's over-excited and overly boring behavior creates a forced storytelling in the game.

3: Terrible - It's a pointless game, even for a fan of this genre.
