This is one of the most wholesome games I've seen.
You can tell the devs put some love into it. With silly jokes and a welcoming atmosphere all around. And as advertised. No. Bloody. Microtransactions.

If you get the game for the Single player, do go ahead. It's a fun albeit a bit old game.
If you purchase it for the online mode, that's another story entirely.

After 8 years out; this is one of the best "for profit" over "for the user" I've seen in a while:

-Terrible matchmaking since launch, yet to be fixed; never-ending loading screens are way too common, the only fix being restarting the game.
-In-game spam as invasive phone calls to try to get you buy the thing just so they stop coming and completely taking over your controls of the character/vehicle.
-Several vehicles, guns, and crap that has broken the meta, are incredibly overpowered and have little to no counter; all with designs that slowly turn the game into a worse Saints Row.
-A plethora of game-breaking glitches that can screw you over out of thousands if not millions of dollars, about a day's worth of profits.
-An aggressive take on mods and even money-making glitches banning every damn user.
-They blatantly only fix the glitches that make it easier to make money in one way or another, not bothering to fix keep the ones that screw you over.
-Game's filled with cheaters with mod menus that can crash and screw your game.

There are still ways to enjoy the online; maybe with friends. But even then the community is amongst the most toxic I've seen, do go ahead an buy it if you really want to; but I wouldn't want to give a company with such trashy ways more money.

40$ Cash grab, quite sad.

To be fair, it's quite alright as a vote-kick simulator. You get bots and cheaters like every 2 minutes, it's insane.
