Dating girls, one pantsu at a time.

HuniePop is exactly what it says it is, a dating simulator. You will have the opportunity to meet different girls and socialize with them. (Just don't use what you learn in this game during a real life date)

So what is the story?
You play as yourself. You are terrible at socializing with girls. One day, a magical fairy named Kyu shows up and decides to help you out.

The Girls:
The girls are pretty diverse. There are girls who are kind and passionate like Tiffany, and then there are girls who are haughty and loud like Audrey. All of them are actually well voice acted, making them feel "real".

Gameplay:
HuniePop generally consists of talking and getting to know the girls you meet and going on a date with them. The dating scenes are pretty much what most people call "Bejewled".
However, I'd say HuniePop's gameplay is a bit "more fun" since you can match orbs horizontally or vertically (the orbs you want to match don't have to be next to each other). There's also a catch. You can't just match random colors and just win.

Ex: You want to date Tiffany. Her favorite trait is flirtation (a green token). When you are dating her, you will only have a certain amount of moves to fill up a point meter. Matching green tokens will get you the most points.
In addition to the "Bejewled gameplay, you can match bell tokens to get more moves and avoid the shattered purple hearts (They will decrease the meter).

About..."those" scenes:
Unless you install the uncensored patch, Panties and bras will stay on, but moans of pleasure will still be heard.

Should you buy it? & My Opinion
For people who just want a casual game that involves "Bejeweled" gameplay and dating girls, pick this up if you feel like it. You might find that one girl that you admire the most.

I especially enjoyed the "Bejweled" gameplay. Some of the dialogue was a bit awkward, but then again I never really talked to a real girl for more than five minutes so I wouldn't really know.

In this Visual Novel, you are a famous star who everyone likes and...nevermind, you aren't.

Without Within tells the story of Vinty, a woman who loves calligraphy and who can barely make enough to pay off her rent. Vinty dreams that one day, she will be famous and everyone would admire her. However, snapping back to reality, she is just a normal person who's self-confidence is pretty much shattered.

Throughout the novel, you will also have to make decisions when you encounter an event. There is a right or wrong answer so you might want to save your game before you make a decision (just to make life easier). Without Within is good for a nice read and it also shows that not everyone is exactly kind to anyone's passion. There will be nice people and there will be mean people.

In the end, the story was rather short, which was a bit of a disappointment, but it is still a good read that might take you less than 20 minutes.

I heard the developer will "expand" on Without Within so I have my hopes high for this visual novel.

I have never taken so much screenshots for a product on steam before...

The somewhat-more-serious review:

Sakura Spirit is a lighthearted visual novel. Th art style is simple, nice, and it has a soft tone. If you are expecting a gripping and dramatic story, you might not find much.

With that being said, I think it should be obvious why a lot of people got this game.

If Mirror's Edge was a combat game, it would be a mediocre game.

If Mirror's Edge was a First Person Shooter, it would be a terrible game.

If Mirror's Edge was a game that required me to buy Day 1 DLC and get a Premium membership just to play it, then I would facepalm so hard.

If Mirror's Edge was a game that has a very relaxing soundtrack that flows perfectly with what is going on, has graphics that are easy to the eye and are unique, and is emphasized on giving a parkour experience that has a mix of an ambient and adrenaline pumping feeling that no other game has done before, and you are interested in these features...

Then you know what you have to do now.

When was the last time you saw a space combat game?

While you are probably thinking to get Strike Suit Zero, I would rather recommend Strike Suit Infinity mainly because Strike Suit Zero's story wasn't really interesting to me (in my opinion), but what shined the most was the combat. SSI takes SSZ's great combat and puts it into a cheaper and a more "arcade styled" game.

Some features about the combat:
  • The Strike Suit has a "Flux" mode, and when activated, your Strike Suit turns into a "Gundam-sort-mech" that targets more enemies and deals more damage.
  • It's a pure arcade space combat game, just shoot the bad guys and you are good to go.
  • The music helps fuel what is going on in combat. It will play an ambient tune when there aren't much enemies, but once you are on a final wave, expect an awesome adrenaline pumping track.
  • I find the game is better played with a Mouse and Keyboard, a Joystick works, but I just prefer the Mouse and keyboard since shooting enemies feels a lot easier, instead of having to constantly move your ship to get a good shot.

If you have great memories of space combat simulators (ex: Freespace and Star Wars flight action games), Strike Suit Infinity could be the game for you.

You could basically call LYNE "connect the dots" (but LYNE is much more enjoyable than connect the dots).
The objective is simple, connect the correct colored shapes with each other to make "lynes".
The game has an abstract style that is very relaxing to the eyes.
Pick this up if you want a "brain exercise".
