I went from getting my Payday to wanting to pledge my life for SUPER EARTH!!!
This game for the first two months was a special time. The playercount nearly reaching 500k. Teammates all speaking in lore. The comedic moments from just the chaotic gameplay. And even a certain incident on the beginning of May where the community banded together for a special major order.

Sure the honeymoon phase is over and now people are much more critical of how the game is balanced and designed.
I'm still confident Arrowhead can make a fun and enjoyable game.

Whereas other games use FOMO as a "you better play the game during this week or else you lose out on this item forever", HD2 has a "come on and play this week to help spread managed democracy and even help possibly change the future of an ongoing story".
The "battlepass" in the game can even be bought with premium currency that can be found in the levels.

Coming from PAYDAY, I think I've found my new favorite co-op game. Plus I figure most of the people who had hopes for PAYDAY 3 have just moved to this game.

Anmeldelse fra tidlig tilgang
On a quick first impression, it really is just a virtual shooting range.
The fun parts of the game so far are making shots count and constantly improving your previous score.
Reloading is like a timing mini game where hitting R at the right spot can speed it up.
Music feels reminiscent of something from early 2000s techno music.
The game uses a XP system for unlocks similar to World of Guns.

Time will tell if the future guns will be very grindy to make you spend money to unlock them faster.

A simple and addicting game even if you aren't a huge fan of Hololive.

I guess Activision just needed more income from Steam?
They are still going to nudge you to playing their "newer" title.

Well, Modern Warfare 2019 is on Steam. Only took 4 years but better late than never. No more Warzone integration since "Warzone 1" has been basically shelved. If you want to play "Warzone Caldera" it seems you have to play through Battle net.

I still enjoy this campaign over MWII's.
Just the overall feel of working in the shadows and the Sicario vibe.

Multiplayer is still alive feeling thanks to crossplay. SBMM/EOMM will decide your experience whether you go up against slide canceling MP5 users or mounted Thermal LMG users.

Co-Op is not really the best. You get some missions that can be somewhat easy or incredibly hard if you aren't working together with randoms.

Survival feels half baked as just to say "there's Survival, ya know that one mode you liked in MW3"?

For better or for worse MW2019 was the game that got me back into the CoD series after skipping all the titles after Ghosts. I honestly enjoyed it just for the campaign alone.

So how's "Modern Warfare Roman Numeral Two 2022" Multiplayer so far?
Eh.

Most of the game feeling is not surprisingly going to feel like MW2019. For a short summary.
- Dead Silence is still a field upgrade.
- You can't really slide cancel anymore.
- Enemies will still show up as dots on the compass and only on the minimap if a UAV is up.
- There's a third person mode. Sounds cool. Most people just end up corner camping.
- Footstep audio is "so good" you'll end up with people hearing and pinpointing you from a distance and prepping for you to enter their aim. (You'll basically have to bunnyhop around to keep your footsteps to a minimum)

Apparently IW has their design reasons for keeping some things unchanged, but you'd think they implement at least a change people have been demanding since MW2019.

As for complaints
The UI feels less intuitive. There's large box options that you'll have to "scroll across". Customizing guns and perks was confusing to navigate at first. The whole thing as some others have said feels like a UI for a mobile game for some reason.
I appreciate gun sounds, but the muzzle flash and smoke seem a bit much. Anti aliasing is stuck on SMAA 2x or Filmic SMAA 2x with no way to turn it off, making the whole game look just blurry unless you add a sharpening filter to somewhat helpout visibility.

Performance wise (Yeah I'm on a "gaming laptop")
I could already run MW2019 on mostly Medium settings at 1080p60fps. The performance here is almost the same aside from the drops from explosions or other effects. I guess I was lucky to not get any crashes or freezes.

So far my experience was decent.
Though, I'd still suggest waiting until the game releases to see if any gameplay changes have been made as people have demanded for years.
I know this is just a "beta" and that it's not the final product. Surely things will improve in the "final" build right?

Introducing the first "new expansion"... Hot Wheels!
yay!

"I thought we were in Mexico?"
As odd as Hot Wheels might be is for a first expansion, I assume this is for the players that never got to play Horizon 3's Hot Wheels. Not like you can even play Horizon 3 nowadays unless you bought it before its delisting.

"So, are we above Mexico? Or in some Hot Wheels Heaven?"
The Hot Wheels map is separated into 3 distinct biomes. As expected you'll be seeing a lot of orange tracks with Speed races. The other type of race, Hazard races, are a mix of both track and offroad racing, though majority of races still takes place on the tracks. To change things up, some of the orange tracks may have water or ice obstacles to keep you on your toes. Seems at least there can be a bit of variety in races aside from everyone running powerbuilds.

"I have to start with B class?"
The main thing with this expansion is that there's progression as you start out racing in B class cars and work your way up to X class. It's not much, but it gives some sense of going faster as you complete more events. I don't mind it as much as you'll most likely climb through the classes fast.

"But is it worth it?"
I got this expansion as part of the Deluxe Edition, though it really depends on if you like Hot Wheels. I never played Horizon 3's Hot Wheels so everything is new to me. There isn't really anything here that ties to the Mexico setting aside from hearing everyone's favorite Horizon employees again. They don't speak as much Spanglish this time around.

While the story does end rather abruptly and isn't that interesting compared to Human Revolution, Mankind Divided is still worth playing, especially since it goes on sale for so cheap.

Though this is still a worthy package. The side missions honestly feel more compelling and more memorable compared to the main story. The 3 Jensen stories while short are missions I still love and remember. Desperate Measures is basically an hour long side quest that just didn't exactly fit with the pacing of the main game. System Rift has an awesome high tech heist feeling. A criminal past has you going undercover in a Supermax Aug prison to really find out what's going on under the surface of the prison.

It's a bummer we may never see another game with Adam Jensen.

Yes, it's a 1 hour TPS Anime style shooter.
No, that's not Kiana on the cover, it's "Maya".

TheDawn is a short, but fun TPS shooter. You've got your Dash, a slowdown time barrier ability, a "rewind" ability that restores HP, an ult, and a shotgun that can also be aimed to turn into a sniper. Combat is mostly horde combat and a particular boss battle that really puts your ability use to the test.

It's only an hour and it helped satisfy my "Third person anime shooter" itch.

A game that's so short even the game doesn't let you skip the cutscenes.

Wing of Darkness has been a game I remember seeing a trailer all the way back in 2019. I forgot that it was in development until it sort of just released in 2021 two years after that initial trailer. The game isn't Ace Combat, not as in depth as Daemon Ex Machina, but it is a very arcadey mech shooter that almost had a sort of Strike Suit Zero feeling.

Why do I only have 2 hours in this game? Because that is actually how long the game is. Yes at $30 that is pretty much unacceptable nowadays, but I have my own biases of wanting to scratch that anime air combat arcadey shooter. Kiyono Yasuno's voice for the main character is another big one (Megumi Kato's VA from Saekano).

Story:
The story is told through static cutscenes Visual Novel style. Klara is a country side girl who is suddenly taken in to pilot the Frauleins (the mech suits) due to a war that suddenly starts. There she will work together with Erika. As they work together they soon find out that the mech suits aren't just ordinary mech suits. That's honestly as far as I can go to avoid spoilers. Right as it gets into that deeper part of the plot the game just sort of ends.

Piloting the "Frauleins"
Gameplay wise you'll be using Frauleins, picking 3 weapons, and basically going to town. The game is actually rather easy once you realize most of the enemies never shoot back. Your weapons and health regenerate very quickly. The game is at least very snappy and very responsive. It's not trying to simulate the heavy weight of a mech suit. The combat loop is fun as you'll be zipping across the levels doing front rolls and just shooting away at enemies. The HUD is clean enough that things don't get to hectic.

Another thing was the Electronic Music in this game which includes your Electronica with some Drum and Bass and some futuristic "trance". Reminds me pretty much of mech anime soundtracks years back.

So should you get Wing of Darkness?
For most people probably not as you could actually finish the game within the refund time.
If you are just like me and had original excitement when this game was announced or you just really want to scratch that low budget mech anime shooter itch, go for it.

It took a while, but your finally back.

ACE COMBAT 7 is an arcadey-flight sim game where you'll be flying iconic expensive aircraft while you shoot down other expensive aircraft. You will also engaging in a story about...drones.
That's about as much as I'll say or else I'd spoil everything.

Gameplay:
The main core of AC7's gameplay is firing missiles and completing specific tasks given to you in mission briefings that are important and will tell you what the purpose of an operation is. Yes, it seems silly that aircraft in this game can hold hundreds of missiles, but the game is designed around mostly lock on missile combat. Although, what may make or break this game for you is how much you can stand hearing MISSILE! MISSILE! MISSILE!

So why should you consider ACE COMBAT 7?:
What I love the most is that in combination with the game's soundtrack, your allies serious and sometimes silly dialogue, is a fun and engaging game. Sure not everyone likes time limits, but it makes missions even more tense as you try to finish an objective as fast as possible. The game isn't exactly easy as some missions barely have checkpoints, but it makes moments like banking up to avoid a close crash or when you finish everything while your aircraft is at critical.

Multiplayer:
Multiplayer isn't exactly populated or balanced. All you get is a Team Death Match mode and a Battle Royale mode. It's there if you really want to just PvP with other people with AC7's core gameplay of shooting down other aircraft.

Should I get the DLC?
The season pass will give you some aircraft that's almost pay 2 win, but you also get 3 missions that has it's own story contained.
