For a boxing game the actual boxing in this game is terrible. Combos don't flow smoothly into each other and the animations are stiff and awkward. It's like the boxers are punching underwater. The AI seems intent on running a marathon race around the ring and waiting for you to punch so it can read your input and counter-attack. Avoid for now, maybe the 1.0 release later this year might fix the aforementioned issues.

I knew this game was a 10/10 when I grabbed onto a harpy's legs and flew far above, fell down and a tiger lady caught me, said "Good thing I was here for you" and gave me a high-five after the battle was over.

Edit: With new updates, the 30fps cap has been removed. The game is now 60fps across all modes. My feelings towards the game remains unchanged.

This is a 6/10 recommendation. Get it on a sale.

The game is good. The kameos add a new depth to the fighting, the characters are visually impressive, the story mode production value is as amazing as the previous games if not better, and there are plenty of references/callbacks to the older PS2 games which I think fans would appreciate.

HOWEVER - the monetisation is incredibly predatory. I have to pay to get Omni-Man as a voice announcer? Are you kidding me? It should've been free for anyone who bought the premium version. We also got amazing skins (Conan the Barbarian Kotal, Indiana Jones Erron Black, The Batman who Laughs Noob Saibot) for free with the Kombat Pack in MK11, MK1 wants you to pay for new skins. Also paying for "seasonal" fatalities? Imagine if MKX wanted you to pay to access the clan fatalities!

Invasions - While I appreciate the fact that they tried to attempt something new, playing Invasions feel like a slog compared to the random Towers of Time in MK11. I also feel like the replayability is low compared to Towers of Time.

Menus, Fatalities, Fatal Blows and the Invasion mode are all locked to 30fps, which is weird because they removed the 30fps cap in MK11 in a later patch.

Would I recommend this game? Yes, but not at full price.

Rengoku is the most based hashira

Animations are kinda rigid and the skill tree could've been better, but overall it is a fantastic game. Hopefully we'll get more single-player Star Wars games down the line.

Great game to play if you're bored and just want some mindless fun.

No matter how many times you die and ragequit, you'll come back.

Parodies are good if done right. Saints Row IV is an example of that.
