DayZ Standalone is now here bringing back the moments when you first started playing the "DayZ Mod" from Arma II. Along the way you will meet bandits and heros but more than all the almighty bambi. This game still is in it "Alpha" but has lots of new features to offer such as robbing people blind. But I said new features not new item now although there is a huge amount of new items to put on you virtual player there is almost no weapons currently there are only 3 guns and a nice amount of hand to hand combat weapons like the new wrench or hammer. While playing for your first time is probably the greatest time you have on all games it is by far the best when you play the Standalone. When you spawn in you're clueless on life you will have no idea where the guns are or where your friend is but after 4hrs of playing you can find all of that. What im saying is after you play for awhile you begin to just see where everything spawns. For me I join a server and go to Balota "A in game town" And I have got myself and M4 with mags. But this is the "Alpha" remember this is all about the game being made.
