Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is one of my favorite games of all time, and DD2 is living up to the title. At least as far as the base game goes. I'm looking forward to a Dark Arisen type of expansion like the first game had.

If you enjoy Elite Dangerous, I'd say this is a worthwhile upgrade. It goes on sale often enough to pick up. That being said, some of the content is kind of hard to grasp and learn if you don't know what you are doing. Exobiology was a bit frustrating for me at first, trying to find 3 of the same species of organic structures, but once I got the hang of it and learned where they tend to show up, I can find them pretty fast. It adds a reason to land on planets, and makes deep-space exploration more meaningful. I found some of the settlement missions confusing as well, but after looking up how to do them I found the on-foot aspect of the game an enjoyable change of pace. Overall, I'm happy to have the on-foot options in this game that I greatly enjoy.

If you are new to Elite Dangerous, I would recommend playing the base game for a while before deciding if you want this DLC. This is truly an add-on to the game, not an expansion that moves the end-game to higher levels and such like many other games and MMOs do.

A solid current-gen MMORPG that is easy to get into, but still challenging with tougher content. Plus, it has very intuitive controls for playing with a controller!

The group-finder will get you into a random dungeon or one of your choosing relatively fast with other random people across different servers, so you can actually find groups for lower-level content, unlike a lot of other MMO games I've played. In fact, the group content before endgame is quite lively, and I didn't feel like I was alone or being carried through it due to the level-sync feature. With that, high level characters can play with low level characters without mowing through the dungeon.

This isn't Call of Duty. Work as a team to win; go solo to die.

It's not easier or more forgiving than Dark Souls, but it feels like it's easier to git gud.

Update: I still haven't beat the game. I keep making new characters, getting pretty far into it, then get burnt out after 50~ hours and take a break. Still my favorite game.

I don't see Gone Home as a game. To me, its a story, a movie told in a way that no film could ever reproduce. This story is one of the most touching I've ever experienced, nearly bringing me to tears.
