Terrific.

Now I'll start off by saying I've modded this game pretty heavily, so it's a wee bit different from vanilla.

That being said, there's no wrong way to play Starbound. You can play it like Terraria, where you specifically hunt for combat and the next challenge. There are several bosses, though you encounter them in arenas instead of out in the wild. There are mods that can give you more bosses to fight as well should you want to encounter them in the world.

Building is easy, straight forward, and hard to be bad at. Everyone'll have their "First night survival" hut. That's a given. But once you have a larger amount of blocks to build with, it's really easy to pick up and a lot of the blocks just mesh with each other. A tip? Use two different blocks for basic buildings. Where the background should be lined with the second block, and the first one should be the first layer wall, and the middle background. Slap windows in there somewhere and you've got a really nice looking starter hut! Just expect to expand, a lot.

Once you get to wanting tenants, then things can drift into being a small city manager. Building rooms for your tenants, and decorating them different ways can get you a large variety of them. From cooks and scientsits, to Alpaca's and Plant people.

There are tons of different dungeons to explore, that all spawn in different varieties of planets. Then when you get mods? It's hard to ever encounter them all. There can be hundreds of different dungeons to delve, and then the natural dungeons that spawn around the planets inside as well!

Tons of value in Starbound, very entertaining game that you can play as much as you want. I got my moneys worth out of it big time, and I'm still playing it. Then you get Frackin' Universe (A big overhaul mod) and everything becomes a lot bigger.. Where it goes from as wide as an ocean, to as deep as one too.

It is in almost no way relatable to X-3 series. You are given one ship to play as, and as far as I know, you cannot pilot or play as other ships/characters. While you can board stations with a first person view, it in my opinion does not make up for what X was. Its graphics are extremely intensive, and very well done however. Not every ship you see has a purpose, there are a LOT, I mean LOADS of civilian ships that look (and from what scanners say) like they're just there for looks, and to speed up your highway travels.

This game man... It'll make you laugh, cry, hate, and love. Mostly laughing and hating, This game is a first person..Explorer, I guess. You go around the world or other universes as you unravel the story that is the Stanley Parable. It's got loads of endings, lots of different paths you can take. The narrator, is top notch. His voice is so lovely, he can sound so soothing, sarcastic and otherwise. He's the best narrator this year, easily compaired to GladOS in the unseen enemy, or friend.

Repetative gameplay, linear story, dollar store character, terribly explained. The new X-Com in a nut-shell.

Right, I've played this and the only distinction between this and any other free to play shooter on the internet, is that this has a camper finder, stompy mech, and better graphics than the others. Weapons are pay to keep, customization is pay to keep, matches are no different from that I've experienced on any other F2P shooter. 2/5 For trying to be unique, but still failing.
