Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation is a fun and engaging JRPG that melds humor, adventure, and strategic gameplay. Surely enough, its premise has to be what is so striking—the game takes place in the world of Gamindustri, where the four goddesses, this time their sisters, battle for supremacy, representing different gaming consoles. The witty dialogue and self-referential humor overlay the storyline with another layer of charm, making it not only a delight for JRPG enthusiasts but anyone who ever came to have a crush on game culture.

The gameplay mechanics are intuitive yet deep, offering a good mixture of turn-based combat, exploration, and character preparation. Here, players can order a diversified team of characters, each with peculiar abilities and ways of performance. The Lily System adds an extra layer of strategy and depth to battles.

Visually, it is enjoyable to see; the environments are colorful and bright, character sprites are gorgeously designed, and their animations are pretty dynamic, throughout combat. That Neptastic mod that increases the FPS adds better resolution, and comes with improved visuals does breathe new life into the series of games from Re;Birth in this world called Gamindustri.

The game is as good as it is in most other fields, but there remain some petty flaws. The pacing sometimes comes slow and would bore some players. At this point, dialogue continues during an extended sequence and is likely to kill the pace of the game. The combat system, even though fun and strategic, gets a bit repetitive for some players after spending more time in the game and earning several achievements.

Overall, the fans of JRPG in general or anime games cannot miss Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation. The sharp writing, gameplay that constantly keeps you interested, and characters make it an experience hard to forget.

"The Adventure of NAYU" is a charming clicker game focused on adorable storytelling. Although the main game is short, its low price compensates for this. The story is engaging, the gameplay is smooth, and the graphics and music are delightful. However, the lack of challenge may disappoint some players, as monsters pose no threat. The endless end-game mode and mini-game offer little replay value. Combat is either automatic, click-based, or powered by the 'FEVER' skill, which may feel too fast-paced and overpowered. Nevertheless, the game's wholesome vibe and detailed monster descriptions make it enjoyable for casual play. Approximately, the game takes 30 minutes of main gameplay and an additional 30 minutes for the other modes to complete. I wish there was more of it, as the art style is really promising, but for now it feels like a bit of a wasted potential. Nevertheless, it's a worthwhile purchase at $3.

"A Kiss For The Petals - Remembering How We Met" is an adorable visual novel where you will simply enjoy the story without making a choice. The characters are adorable, their voices draw readers closer to the tale, and one will undoubtedly be eager to know what is going to happen next.

And so it began, the story in which Risa recalled her first day at St. Michael's and how she was to meet her future girlfriend, Miya. If Risa were the more serious student, Miya was one of the free-spirited kind. At first, this had brought them into each other's arms over slight bickering about divergent attitudes toward school.

But apart from all these dissonance and controversy, love brews between them. Through ordinary circumstances and tender moments, Risa and Miya's romance progresses with great charm and adorable earnestness. "A Kiss For The Petals" encapsulates their love story, which serves as a lovely depiction of two girls falling in love.

However, it's a little disappointing that only Risa and Miya are genuinely fleshed-out characters. Others barely even get mentioned. The overall feel of the game is a bit rushed, diminishing the more profound impact on Risa and Miya's relationship. There isn't that much time to sink into the progression of the main heroine's relationship. I believe the game itself is worth playing on sale, but it's not exceptional.

I do enjoy writing reviews, but I felt kind of compelled to share my thoughts on Fatal Bullet, a game that's given me a fair amount of entertainment over the hours that I didn't expect.

Fatal Bullet is a loot shooter with some RPG mixed in, much like Borderlands. This is probably the game's best part, as it offers a fair amount of fun, although nothing groundbreaking.

You'll find yourself in fast-paced action with some weapons and abilities to experiment with. Well, the AI isn't the smartest—though, of course, they are helpful if you micromanage enough. I found some fun playing with a sniper/AR character, but as always, your mileage may vary.

The gameplay mechanics feel satisfactory, and the weapons feel fine when used—most certainly the snipers and melee options. The grapple gun helps to add a bit of variety, allowing the players to climb and dodge, among other maneuvers. There are, however, minor problems related to boss and NPC behavior that can sometimes be quite irritating.

Character creation is pretty decent, offering a fair amount of options for changes that can be made. There are the bonuses of DLCs, but their worth is only subjective to your level of involvement with the game.

Well, the story is entirely forgettable. This may please fans of Sword Art Online or anime in general, but it's a lot of slice-of-life fluff with sometimes serious bits stuck at random intervals. The dialogue is acceptable, and it does include some VN-style cutscenes to go along. The affinity system with the party members adds depth, but the romance elements feel somewhat tacked on and lightweight in their inclusion. The visual presentation isn't one of Fatal Bullet's strong suits. It's not going to blow anyone away, but it works. Nothing is particularly eye-grabbing, and while the characters are designed adequately, you wouldn't expect your cutting-edge rig to sweat over them. Definitely a console-focused game, for sure. The character models are okay and will just do.

The music is quite good and has a couple of standout songs on the tracklist. A couple of things may leave some people feeling let down, especially the lack of English voiceovers, though the voice acting in Japanese serves the purpose quite decently.

There are some issues with framerate on the game, mainly with the AI behavior and difficulty. It also has an online multiplayer mode with fewer than 200 players active; that wasn't a good experience. In most Co-op dungeons, max-level players carry me, which lets me obtain levels quickly. As for PVP modes, I had to ask around on sites like Reddit to try to get some achievements since the PVP mode looks completely dead. Overall, Fatal Bullet is a decent game and could be interesting for genre or Sword Art Online series fans. Sure, it's nowhere near a polished experience, but it has some components you might like if you're out for a time waster. Just don't expect anything revolutionary.

As someone who has fond memories of playing the accessible version of Ib about ten years ago, I was over the moon once I heard it was released on Steam. This horror visual novel about Ib, a little girl caught in the illusion of a museum alongside Garry, surprised me with its engaging storyline and appealing characters.

The game conjures an exciting world that one would very much like to explore, to unlock the said world's mysteries, and also to understand its history. Ib, Garry, and Mary themselves bring layers to the story, making each interaction meaningful and every session of solving the different puzzles satisfying. Even though the puzzles might prove somewhat problematic, they continue to balance not being too challenging to complete and allowing a good gameplay experience.

"Ib" is a game that is going subtle on horror: no sudden scares, no overpowering gore. Instead, it builds up that feeling of unease and fear as the story progresses. Creepy encounters with disturbing artwork and the strangeness of the museum keep players on edge without giving away cheap thrills.

The Steam version of "Ib" is updated with several enhancements that make the overall gameplay experience better. With better graphics and dialogue screens, up to the ability to talk to the game's companions whenever you like, these editions help make the game more immersive and further aid one in building a stronger bond with the characters in the game. Sometimes, the puzzles change; generally, the changes favor better game mechanics, yet some classics may upset die-hard enthusiasts.

This is a vital aspect of the game that raises feelings while it raises introspection. I had an episode of depression at that time, which brought many thoughts to the fore concerning love, loneliness, and time. The moving soundtrack, which I still listen to for inspiration, further added the depth of emotional experience while playing the game.

In the end, "Ib" is more an artwork than a horror game; it resonates profoundly and stays beautifully created for the ones who get to partake in its enigma. Be you picking it back up again after years or new to the experience, this is a journey well worth taking, one that will stay with you long after you finish playing.

Also, it might be a bit controversial, but I totally loved Mary as a character and the 'Together Forever' ending is definitely my favorite one <3

It gets so lonely here—a fantastic mix of suspense, romance, and just a tad of darkness, which got me by surprise. When I began reading, it was for the promise of an intriguing story featuring mysterious girls and, of course, horror elements. It certainly does more than meet expectations.

The first thing that struck me was the visuals. An endearing GUI, hypnotizing backgrounds, and evocative music all combined into an immersive trip that is hard to forget. Seriously, those instrumental pieces with a singing siren just set the perfect mood for the story.

But it's not just about the looks—the writing is top-notch too. Ebi-hime is simply a maestro of the English language in each of her sentences, with flowery prose that strongly reflects the fairytale themes of the game. I especially valued the choice to leave the main character silent and, hence to allow other characters to be not so much people but expressive archetypes.

And although I have not always been a fan of using the second-person perspective, it surprisingly works here. It adds to the overall mystique of the narrative.

And, not to be overshadowed, the bonus features—unlocking full pictures of critical scenes and corresponding music tracks—were just a lovely addition that included a lot to the experience. Now, it's obvious the creators did put a lot into this and they deserve each and every piece of praise they get. All right now for the story; it's a really darkly sweet mix of horror and romance with a dash of twisted fairy tale thrown in. Sure, it is not your usual love story, but the book is only for people whose hearts thump at romantic cannibalism and other horrid fairytale horror devices. While you might anticipate where the story is heading, the ride is still electrifying due to the attention to detail and the manner in which the narrative loops through different choices.

Overall, this visual novel is great in terms of its fantastic aesthetics, writing quality, and plot development. Indeed, it is a worthy play for an atypical and memorable gaming experience.

I must admit - that was quite hell of a ride.

I was a great deal impressed and horrified by the story in this kinetic visual novel. Being a person who likes psychological and disturbing themes, each moment of this novel was nothing less than pure enjoyment. Not every story has to be friendly, and it's one of the most excellent things a story can achieve: make the reader feel bad yet thankful about reading it.

The concept and storyline were brilliantly thought-out, with one of the best plot twists I've ever encountered. The ending just left me feeling thoroughly mindblown. That took a very dark yet captivating turn for this kinetic novel, turning instantly into a fan favorite for me. It even solidifies my conviction that having a demon catgirl is the pinnacle of our society. This may come as quite weird, but I enjoyed the love scene; the presentation itself was excellent. It was especially well-described by the accompanying dialogues, poetic in nature but with an ease of understanding that goes hand in hand with the happenings on screen. This is undoubtedly one of my favorite moments in 'Sweetest Monster.'

Except for this, I found Robin, the main character, highly annoying through most of the book.

Unlike other visual novels, which often have generic, likable male protagonists for self-insertion purposes, this author made the brave move of creating a character that many readers will not have many agreements with. Yet, how well such a characterization was done, with precision, changed everything to something different in its frustration level, from the frustration that will make me genuinely dislike the story. I wish there was more information or even a backstory behind the Bell and Melody affiliation. The "Extras," unlocked at the end of the novel, are definitely an excellent addition for all lore hunters: some character descriptions can be found here.

Overall, I would recommend this novel, although you should brace yourself for the greatest trauma of your life.

Eldritch horror catgirl would definitely fix me

I may be lost in this moment, questioning my place and purpose in this world, but one thing's for sure - I've embraced a newfound appreciation of being totally gay for anime girls and foxes.

The hand-drawn art is simply gorgeous, with every frame lovingly created to bring desolation and beauty. The somber hues help set the mood, giving the film a stark and starkly emotional feel which makes for an experience that resonates in terms of the heart and on the screen.

The soundtrack is an art in itself. The melancholy tunes serve as a beautiful backdrop for these foreboding worlds, making you truly feel like you're right there with the likes of Geryon, Cerberus, and Medusa (though we're glad we're not!). When the music in a game that harmoniously blends with the storytelling, it is something rare, and Ender Lilies really nails it.

Despite its unforgiving difficulty, Ender Lilies provides an extremely rewarding gameplay. The exploration system is Metroidvania-lite and combined with the fast-paced nature of the combat keeps you on your toes all the way through. Being able to summon and control spirits spices up the fights a bit and helps to make them fresh and fun to play every time. It strikes a good balance, where things are challenging but victories never feel unfair.

The real space that makes Ender Lilies shine is in its story though. The narrative is presented in fragmented, non-linear style, slowly unraveling the truth about the world and the main character themselves. A deep and interesting lore that invites plays to learn more in depth is present.

Ender Lilies may be a bit too moody and difficult for some, but those with the patience for its melancholic narrative and restrained sense of world-building will find a fascinating game in Ender Lilies. It is the type of golden title that makes one feel good and play great all at the same time. Ender Lilies is an indie game that demonstrates indie games not only can be fun to play but also a touching experience to remember.

Just remember to don't get yourself involved too much with achievements. I felt like a masochist doing them.
